Up to 75% off games that grant arcane powers: Simon the Sorcerer, Magic Carpet Plus, Paper Sorcerer, and more!

Every good magic promo consists of three parts. The first part is called "The Pledge". You are shown something ordinary, like a videogame with wizards in it. The second part is called "The Turn": You fiddle with this ordinary thing and realise it can make something extraordinary - like provide you with hours upon hours of magically-infused fun. Now you're wondering how we can top this. That's when the third part comes in - the one we call "The Discount". It's when you realize these games that grant you The Power of Spelling are also going for up to 75% off! Eh? Magic.

He's smart-mouthed, stubborn, occasionally obnoxious. His favorite pastime is subverting all sorts of fairy tales and the characters living in them. Put your hands together for Simon the Sorcerer, the point'n'click sensation that helped the golden era of the genre earn its name! [APPLAUSE]

They thought they could contain your power and bury you inside a book? Ha! Playing the role of a Paper Sorcerer, you must now overcome all enemies, puzzles, and traps that await there, one turn at a time. This is how old-school revenge looks like, heroes.

The promo will last until November 18, 10:59 AM UTC.
*Sees 'The Power of Spelling as the title, but doesn't see Epistory for sale*.
Welp, nothing for me here.
Now, this is a sale I like. I don't have Simin 3D and don't want it...so no games for me but Migic Carpet is a favorite of mine, it's still a unique game.
If you like casting spells around I also suggest you to try out Clive Barker's Undying!
There's a powerful spell turning my vocals into "i"s.

Hmm, I have everything...
Magic Carpet is a great game and enjoyable even today
I bought Paper Sorcerer a while back directly from Ultra Runaway Games to have the Linux version...

I got it from a Humble Daily Bundle, and it is the only game I got for the amount I payed. It's definitely my type of game, but the battle system (the most part of the game) isn't always well coded (cooldown times are not consistent), and game balance is not ideal (late game normal encounters, in particular, are often not fair, especially since sleeping characters don't wake up when attacked with skills, and you can encounter multiple enemies that can individually take off more than half your party's HP with one action).

Also, I would recommend avoiding 1980's mode, as the early game is maybe a bit *too* difficult on that mode. If you want a challenge, play on Hard mode. (I note that, on Easy mode, late game normal encounters can *still* klll you.)

The game actually lulls you into a false sense of security; the game gets really easy for a while (especially on lower difficulties), but then the game throws a normal enemy (not even a boss) that can easily wipe out your entire party.
That just reminded me of Simon The Sorcerer 4 being pulled down from GOG after a short time. I remember the painful and awkward twitch stream session when it was featured :o)
Nox is a very good looking & incredibly fun game!
Nothing for me in this promo. I will wait and see what is offered in the weekend promo.

I already own the three Simon games and the Nox game. And am not interested in the others.

Actually the most spellcastily spellcastish spellcasthon i've spellcasted with was "Arx Fatalis".

Drawing runes with the mouse in real time felt impressively natural. Like the spells were truly coming out of your own fingers.

Even beats Loom, I say.
Nox would make a great instabuy but not at the lowest discount of the year. It was -75% in June and -60% in October. So if you don't have it just wait probably till Winter Sale.
How's the difficulty of the Simon the Sorcerer series? Especially for those who don't normally play adventure games?
I was hoping Simon the Sorcerer 4 would be making a return, but alas it has not. :(
