op-si: What I would like is an action or platform game, that I can finish in lets say 15-20 hours, that has maybe a save or at least a checkpoint system, so that you don't need every time to restart from the beginning.
Sometimes, I'm more in the mood for an action game that I can finish in 15-20 *minutes*. (When a game is this sort, having to restart from the beginning every time becomes less of an issue, as long as I can make some mistakes playing the game without having to start over.)

dixxn: Blasphemous at 50% is a steal. I would recommend that game even at full price.

ciemnogrodzianin: Shame it does not have Linux port here, on GOG :(
That's too bad, I hope they also plan to release the game on linux. It's a good game, and deserve more exposure.

trusteft: Hi, are you new to the people of the internet?

B1tF1ghter: If you suggest that I underestimate people's stupidity then you are incorrect.
I know it more than I would want to.

But I still think hiding Sale END announcement while keeping Sale START one live there is stupid and would lead to higher confusion than just leaving both - specificly for "the" kind of people you are mentioning.
Sure, it's strange, but i'm curious why you care, though.

ciemnogrodzianin: And there is still Bethesda Sale running.
Heh I noticed that too, wonder if it's an accident or not.

op-si: Thanks for you reply and your suggestions.

I don't play point and click type adventure games.

If the game has a story, that is ok. If it doesn't , no problem at all. The story is just a plus.

Most importantly, it should be fun to play.
I will check out Owlboy.
Owlboy was fun, about 10 hours, has checkpoints and the only annoying part for me was a section that I had to repeat several times, but it's not so hard, as long as you enjoy the boss battles! Your character gets better at flying as you progress in the game, which adds to the fun. There's action and puzzles...A cheaper action adventure from the same year with a flying character is Way of the Red, which doesn't go on sale but has rather lowered it's base price, it's a short indie thing but worth the 4 euros. To be honest I had more fun with WotR, but I enjoy 8 bit feels over 16 bit :)

What 15 or 20 minutes games would you suggest here on GOG possibly, or old consoles or elsewhere?

Such games were common in the early days of the NES, or even before that.

Super Mario Bros. can be beaten around that time or less if you use warps. (World record is just under 5 minutes.)

Castlevania (which actually *is* available on GOG) has a world record speedrun time of around 12 minutes, and since the game is linear, there aren't options to skip huge portions of the game, so a good casual run might fit in that time frame.

You could also look at early arcade games, pre-NES console games, and even old (pre-MS-DOS) computer games (as long as they aren't RPGs or something).

For more modern games, there's Downwell. Also, Super Hexagon is extremely short. (Note that these two games have low base prices, only $3, here.)

Super Hexagon and Downwell are among my all time favourite games, I often go for a round. Sadly I'm not so good at them that I can solve them in 20 minutes, even if it's possible. I have been trying to beat them for years. Same for old console games unless I cheat and I'm not good at speedrunning in general -_-
@Dogmaus: Thank you! :)
Still looking at some gameplay videos for Owlboy and I am not really sure. It sure looks great, I have to say.

Dandara is also nice and has original mechanics for movement! But you have to enjoy exploration and eventually getting lost looking for a passage (it's also a metroidvania)

Just a heads up, in case you're looking for a metroidvania, Owlboy is not one. It is a pretty linear game. Not saying it's a bad game, just know what to expect :)

Also, at least with a controller, Owlboy needs the second analog stick for aiming. It's not the sort of game that can be played with just a SNES-style controller or just a keyboard, despite looking like such a game.

Thanks, I somehow hadn't noticed that one but it looks like one I'll really enjoy!

Thanks, will watch a gameplay video or two.

No, no... I'm not really looking for a metroidvania, because these types are too long games.
I am looking more for a standard platformer, that is not too hardcore. Just for the record: I really like Zombotron. It has action, platforming, some simple puzzles, that is. It is simply fun.

Do you remember the good old Blizzard game called Blackhawk or BlackThorn? Well, that is my kind of game :)
