75% off King's Bounty: Dark Side, Men of War: Assault Squad, Master of Orion 1+2 and more.

War can be a cruel thing but also a minefield of buried opportunities. If you can navigate and survive it, brave the surrealism and inhumanity of it all, the spoils you will unearth might just seem worth the trouble. Especially if they are of the magical variety. But you need to be bold, ambitious, and occasionally desperate. You also need to keep your eyes on the prize, whether it is that Enchanted Tiara of Painful Headbutts, glorious immortality, or the promise of a better tomorrow. And no matter your prefered reward for going to war, you will definitely find it in our Weekend Promo: The Bold and the Bountiful.

If it is strategic glory and historical participation that you seek, you will find yourself in good company among the Men of War, swapping stories with your fellow Soldiers: Heroes of World War II or raining death from above on your IL-2 Sturmovik. But warfare can also be whimsical and exhilarating when you are out seeking the King's Bounty, either by jumping between Crossworlds or by role-playing your Dark Side fantasies. It can also be more subtle than just causing Total Annihilation on the enemy forces by launching a Massive Assault, as wars are often decided by stealthily bringing Death to Spies. So try on your many Faces of War and be sure to claim your just rewards as a veteran of the virtual battlefields.

Boldly fight your way towards plentiful loot and long-lasting fame with our Weekend Promo: The Bold and the Bountiful of 35+ titles going for 75% off, including Space Rangers HD, Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power, Master of Orion 1+2, Perimeter and more. The promo will last until January 26, 4:59 AM GMT.

Random_Coffee: Thanks for the link, good review :) By the way, unlike Hitman, is it possible to save during missions? And did you play the sequel as well?
avatar
Enebias: You can save anytime, and this is a big positive point in my book.
I didn't play the second; actually, I'm going to buy it before the promo ends. :)
I heard people saying that it was better than the first, though.

By the way, if you play DtS definitely check this out: http://www.developwith.me/aho/dts/index.html
I'm still deciding on buying those games. I saw on YouTube that it's possible to save during missions in the second one, too.

CarrionCrow: Master of Orion 3...waited for that one through both end of the year things, good to see it discounted finally.
avatar
IAmSinistar: That's the only game from this sale that I don't already own. Don't see that changing today. :)
Just bought it here. That was the oldest entry on my list.

blotunga: I wonder if I should be a masochist and buy Moo3 >:)
Well I'm gonna grab it. If you check the reviews, theres a fair bit of talk about how the mods for the game make it really good. At this price, thats worth a chance to me.

Its not really a bad game. Just the AI is totally wonky :)

truhlik: No one is interested in Friday promo? :)
Nope, not really. Just a repeat of repeats ;-)

Yepp, bought it too. It will make a good fit with Lords of the Real 3 which even now I haven't managed to play properly.

Maxvorstadt: Hm, this Space Ranger HD game looks interesting. Sounds like Drox Operative, but turn based. Hm, buy it or not?
Sort of. You can enter into a certain type of quests like RTS battles, text battles (like riddles), trading and fighting (turn-based). I think it gets more involved as you explore and make progress, ask Pheace about as he has played it a lot I believe. All in all, it's great and I highly recommend it. Just make sure your computer meets the specs, it's surprisingly demanding.

I'm thinking of getting Perimeter, it looks unique and different. What about Faces of War? I remember enjoying Company of Heroes of the little I played, only that I didn't feel too motivated to finish the campaign due to the theme. I've read it's more tactical which should suit me better though.

It sounds like it can be fan-patched back to playability. But at the same time, do I really want to reward devs who screw it up in the first place? ;)
Tempting to get a few of these games... But i ask myself if i'd ever play them... (Referring to UFO series, and a few others)
Great promo .

Death to Spies: Moment of Truth is on my new wishlist while Master of Orion 3 is on my old one .
A game I've waited to go on sale for a long time finally was discounted. Thank you, GOG!

I don't know really. Bought it 4 years ago as one of first games I got on gog. I can still remember the day the AI wen't crazy when the peace loving Nommo slugs attacked me for talking with one of the Evil races. After that it all wen't crazy :) Well the devs were thrown in to this game without any pre-knowledge since neither of them worked on previous MOO games so its no wonder they botched it up.

I have not tried it, but I have had people highly recommend Moo3 with the Mods, as the best 4x space game they had played, and making it what it should have been.

No, not me. Not because I don't like the games. Just that luckily I own the lot so I can redirect the money I shouldn't be spending to get Noctropolis :)

Well, it should run on my system, it only needs a 2,6 single core CPU. I have a 3.0 Dualcore, so there shouldn`t be a problem, right?
