Up to 70% off Gothic, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Leisure Suit Larry, Carmageddon, The Chronicles of Riddick and more…

How was your summer vacation? Did you take a vacation? Our summer wasn't very vacationy, but it sure was cool. We had an amazing Summer Sale, we unleashed batches of fun upon you including Bethesda, The Forgotten Realms, Telltale, and Warhammer. We rolled out our Windows 10 support, and many of us are still playing through the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Yeah, it's a big game.
But now, summer vacation is winding down, and while many of you are waiting for the first school-bells to ring, or unable to tell the difference - we're going Back to Old-School for a weekend of deals up to 70% off!

What's more summery than a long day at a theme park? The beach, maybe. But other than the beach, few things are more summery than a long day at a theme park. Rollercoaster Tycoon is the best way to design your very own summer adventure with wild rides and waterparks, your own wonderland (just don't forget to make money!) of joy. Simply put, even after all these years the Rollercoaster Tycoon games remain some of the best Tycoon series ever released, and by far the most beloved.

Already missing your summer romance? Ditch the shorts and swim trunks, a leisure suit is the only way to dress for new conquests. Leisure Suit Larry's greatest hits and misses are a hilarious series of misadventures featuring the most loving guy in town.

Then, there is the original Gothic trilogy. There's an eternal argument as to which one is the best (the fellow typing this can't get enough of Gothic 3), but great open worlds and relatively few rules make these games some of the most quintessential old-school RPGs. Go anywhere anytime you want, and do your best not to accidentally kill a quest giver. With just a few mods and community fixes, this trio can stand proudly among the best role-playing games ever made.

This weekend, we're going Back to Old-School with 30+ classic games including the Gothic series, Carmageddon, Chronicles of Riddick, and more by Atari and Codemasters - all up to 70% off. The promo will last until Tuesday, September 1, 3:59 AM GMT.

Random_Coffee: Added Alone in the Dark-trilogy and Independence War 2 to cart. IW2 seems to be the fan favorite, but is the first one worth it as well? And can I use a Xbone-controller in these games?

igrok: I don't think you can use a gamepad with Alone in the Dark unless you somehow remap keyboard controls to a joystick. Alone in the Dark became a hit when it was released. It is a great adventure game that is in some aspects similar to Resident Evil, but made by a French company. There is relatively less fighting and more manipulation with objects to defeat monsters. The graphics was great in 1993 but is quite dated today. The music is excellent. So if you are into pre-1995 gaming, this is a must have.
I bought it yesterday :) I meant using a gamepad on the Independence War-games, but it worked on Alone in the Dark as well using the built-in keymapper. The game is excellent so far. I haven't gotten very far, as I don't understand how the combat works, but I guess I'll figure it out.

Combat is very finicky in the game, as actually hitting things really demands a lot of practice and good timing. It kind of works in favour of the survival horror scenario, though, and the game gives you quite a few options to avoid most direct confrontations through various means, such as the shelf and the chest in the very first room.
One of the reasons why Alone in the Dark 2 is often considered to be the worst of the original series is that it increased the action parts dramatically and even starts with an unavoidable and tremendously difficult shootout section.

Basically, it works like this: Select either the "Fight" option or a weapon in the inventory. To attack, hold down the action key and press a direction, usually forward, but sometimes also right.
got me kknd2
already had kknd
had it on retail cd when the game first came out.

i read many posts that kknd2 crashes all the time, but now it sits besides its older brother kknd, and they can crash together :D
