Up to 75% off two vaults full of gaming treasures: RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, Act of War: Gold Edition, Master of Magic, and more!

Do you know what happens when ATARI meets Codemasters? An explosion of cool discounts happens! We had our best people plant the explosives on two massive vaults bearing two massive names on them. And wouldn't you know it, our plan worked! So come and enjoy the spoils with us. There are treasures both ancient and shiny found within, and you can claim as many as you like, for up to 75% off!

Rich, engaging 4X mechanics in a fantasy setting. RPG elements, exploration, and a complex magic and summoning system. These are some of the reasons why Master of Magic is still considered an unsurpassed classic by millions of strategy fans.

You should have never have agreed to serve a dark god without reading the fine print first. Now there will be Blood: One Unit Whole Blood. And it must come from all sorts of hellish creatures that have no right to walk the earth but are more than welcome to bleed all over it, as you blast them in the face.

Want to know what war will look like in the near future? Sparked by this Act of War: Gold Edition, it will feature intense, balanced, and gripping urban combat across the globe, full of tactical RTS elements and engrossing storytelling.

The vaults are open and finally ATARI meets Codemasters. The complete list of their treasures is still being filled out but early looters report finding Prisoner of Ice, Cannon Fodder 1+2, Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail, Race Driver: GRID, and many more valuables hidden inside, going for up to 75% off. The promo will last until May 31, 3:59 AM UTC.

Zoltan999: Thanks bud.....that's close enough! On the other hand, NVM, would have been nice though, lol ;-)
avatar
HunchBluntley: Umm....
Yups, that's why I said NVM.....saw your post after I had already replied to Grilledfish's just a little too quickly
avatar
radigram: - Chris Sawyer's Locomotion (rereleased on Steam last year)
avatar
Grargar: I'll get back to you about the rest of your list, but this one is already here and it's even part of the promo.
And it's been here since 2011, I think.
avatar
radigram: - Area 51 and Blacksite: Area 51
Not an Atari series. Warner Bros own them.
avatar
radigram: - Kao the Kangaroo series
The first Kao the Kangaroo had nothing do with Atari, while the second one is currently published by Nordic.
avatar
radigram: - Driver 1-3 (we already got Parallel Lines -> yeah, I know, that Ubisoft is published here)
No longer an Atari series. It's now owned/published by Ubisoft.
avatar
radigram: - Shadow Ops: Red Mercury
Atari sold the rights to the game during their bankruptcy period. It's now owned by Tommo and published on Steam under the Retroism label.
avatar
radigram: - Boiling Point: Road to Hell
Before it was removed from GamersGate, it was published by GameFactory Interactive, so more than likely not an Atari game.
avatar
radigram: - Venetica
Nope, not an Atari game. It's self-published by Deck 13.
avatar
radigram: - Dark Sector
Currently published on Steam by ND Games.
avatar
radigram: - Scorpion: Disfigured
Currently published on GamersGate by bitComposer games.

That leaves us with the following:

Crashday
Dungeons and Dragons Daggerdale
Enter the Matrix
Haunted House
Star Raiders
Test Drive Unlimited series
The Matrix: Path of Neo

The Matrix games and Test Drive might have been worthy additions, but both of them are saddled with licensing issues (hence why Atari is selling only the latest Test Drive on other stores). Haunted House seems an OK title, while Daggerdale and Star Raiders aren't well-received (and in Daggerdale's case, Atari might soon be losing their license to sell D&D games, so I doubt they'll make an effort to release it on other stores). Can't really say anything about Crashday, as I didn't even know of its existence.

Thank for the corrections. Didn't see Locomotion on GOG.com ... my bad :p

However I can link you some images of retail boxes, where there is the ATARI logo.
Give me a minute.

So, here are some of these:

Bowling Point: Road to Hell
http://img.gamefaqs.net/box/4/7/6/16476_front.jpg

You are right, Venetica was published for the Xbox 360 by ATARI:

But yes, you are 100% right, most of the rights for these games are not in ATARIs hand anymore.
So very likely we won't see them on GOG.com-

Sad :(

Ah, I misunderstood that last bit of that reply; thought you were using "NVM" to mean something else there ("new vehicular motion", perhaps? :P ) -- never seen it capitalized when meaning "never mind". Sorry.

I don't doubt that Atari might have once something to do with the games above, as Atari once had a very large number of games in their portfolio. After their bankruptcy proceedings in 2013, though, they sold a lot of their stuff to other companies (over 100 games to Tommo alone) and their portfolio has thinned dramatically since then.

We might not see them on GOG brought by Atari, but since quite a few of them are sold by other companies on other stores, I wouldn't rule out anything yet.

Yes, we can hope. Or at least Hope is, what dies last :)
Hope, to see more Retroism and/or Night Dive Studios games in the future, here on GOG.

Ahh, lol....yeah, I've always used it that way, don't know if it's the accepted norm or not...probably not, but regardless, NP bud. Again thanks for replying to my original question, and the follow up. Going to be a while before I give it a try anyway; currently knee deep into both King Arthur and X3TC which have been absorbing all my available gaming time!

Probably Tatem Games, a company that was formed by the game's original developers, Action Forms (who had also developed Cryostasis, which was removed from GOG 3 years ago).

Thank you!
No paycheck until the 5th of June , so Powerslide has to wait until the next sale .

groze: Also, don't pay any attention to the 'get a controller, LOLZ' crowd.
Well, some games do simply play better with a controller, no matter how much you may love your keyboard. Especially if they're designed with a controller in mind. I think having a gamepad as accessory is a good thing to have.
Well, I broke down and bought Race Driver: GRID. Let's see if I can even play this one (and whether I'll even attempt to any time soon). :D
