A few days ago, it was announced by the developers of We Happy Few that the game is delayed till Summer 2018, and it will be removed from sale with the end of January from all PC digital distributors. This also includes GOG.com, so on February 1st we will temporarily remove the game from sale, until it’s closer to release. The whole reasoning behind the removal can be found on Compulsion Games official website.

If you’re interested in checking the game in the current, early alpha state, you have time to buy it before February 1st.

If you already own the game, the removal won’t affect your access to current version of We Happy Few. Please note, Gearbox and Compulsion Games enabled refunds to all current owners of the game, so if you’d like to ask for a refund you should reach out to our support team.
Nice to have a blue address this... even if it is a week after I posted about it. Will not be requesting a refund... not worth paying more for the same product... even if I am likely to be disappointed.

The official line being:
"blah, blah de blah blah, more money, blah, day 1 dlc, blah gearbox want online only micro-transactions, blah"

I seriously can't see why anyone would give money for this, or why GOG would not just drop it totally. Don't get me wrong the game looks OK style wise, but the rest of it is a total mess. Maybe its just me, but if I got my car back from the garage and they said the brake pedal didn't really work and wouldn't be fixed for several months, although they had been working on a lot of dials which meant a large increase in cost, I probably wouldn't return to the garage.
