Agreed, which is why I'm not doing anything right now until I get word back from them... although if they already replied to me I don't know, I'm on the wrong computer to access my email. Guess I should check that...
Adding Captcha for new accounts will be a must, which is a one time thing so it won't be as annoying for real users. Of course if they make new users in bulk over a few days and then start the attacks again....

Although I'll guess (
reading between the lines) from that response they aren't going to bestow special status to non-employees... which is okay as long as they fix this.
