Maybe additional constraints... Like they haven't bought any games and have 0 or negative rep as well.. that would probably work... You can safely delete accounts that have no bought games as there's nothing to lose...

Artoemius: Thanks! But is there any possibility that a non-spam post is deleted if it receives some number of unfair spam-reports? Is TECHNOLOGY powerful enough to prevent that? :)
I don't know how the whole "report as spam" thing works here as I am not a web developer or aything of the sort :)

I did database work a while back... Not a huge amount, but enough to know a few things.
1) Hard drive space is cheap...
2) it's easier to mark an entry as hidden and keep the data rather than throw it away.

SQL structure is probably something like:

Create Table ForumMessages {
userid int;
message text;
hide bool;
posttime datetime;
postid long;
total_like_dislike int;
}

However unless you can query the Database directly then you probably won't be able to access it...

I suppose but then again I am not a dev :D

Artoemius: I noticed that some of these magical posts vanish as I report them as spam. Are they deleted automatically, not by the GOG staff? And if yes, does anyone know how many members should report a post as spam for it to be automatically deleted?

I'm just wondering if there's a possibility for a controversial topic to be deleted if some number of opposed people (or their alts) unjustifiably report them as spam.

Wish is worked on wishlist that way too but apparently we'd have to report each individual spampost to support with contact form to get rid of them all :-/ and the spambots aren't always banned either as they sometimes pop up again few weeks/months later. Latest wishlist spambot is mjbulk. Here's just few examples but there are one or more in most wishlist entries with most replies:

Sounds like Internet mobbing made easy.
Some guys want to mob someone and report his posts as spam, they get automatically deleted and no mod even notices?

I do believe that there are safeguards to prevent just that because I would have heard about something like this happening :)

So you don't know? So much for my theory about no mod even noticing. ;)
Giving user accounts so much power isn't a good idea imho.

I've been at GOG for over two years, been on the forums since 2008 and I've seen my fair share of threads get downvoted to oblivion and they never got automatically removed. Locked yes, but the locking was done by an actual human being :)
Baba is never gonna give us up!
And yet more Baba just popped up. Love marriages O_o.
Anybody interested in "girls in Delhi"? ;)
Really, this Baba guy is annoying...

Edit: nevermind: this time GOG has been fast as a lightning! :)
