skeletonbow: Indeed, I think the last game that I bought in physical form was Battle for Middle Earth II Collector's Edition back in 2006/7, or GRAW2 or GTA San Andreas in the same timeframe. I used to prefer the physical DVD because I felt I actually owned it as I could hold it in my hand and that offered a certain amount of physical control, plus any manuals and other materials included with the purchase. Sadly, over time repeatedly feeling ripped off due to terrible experiences with DRM led me to boycott several major game studios DRM-full games (EA, Ubisoft, and subsequently Rockstar, and Warner Bros also) I ended up not buying games anymore for many years.
I used to buy CD/ DVD too, but there was a time when i felt ripped off too. It was the time i bought these 5-6 games that needed Steam account to play. To tell the truth, i never had any problems with it - the games were there any time i wanted to play them (i have steam in offline mode since i installed the games) but i never truly accepted Steam and i haven't bought any more retail games since then. (and i have never bought a game with GFWL or anything else for that matter)

And the fact that nearly all the newer games ship without a manual or any extras, is a deal breaker for me too. So now, i buy exclusively on GOG & older physical games that i know they ship with a manual & don't need internet authentication.
Do any of these games come with soundtrack as a freebie?
Yes, yes, yes! Finally Warner decided to join. Well, i already own MK,MK2,MK3 and F.E.A.R but I am excited future releases from Warner!

Unfortunately no.
The soundtrack to Bastion is really good, so it is a shame not to see here.

undeadcow: Is it safe to assume Warner Brothers is the other AAA publisher that GOG teased being close to signing with? Epic news!

mistermumbles: I'm still of the impression that their previous hint was actually about Take 2 or Microsoft because at that point they were referencing the original list of the big 5 they had a few years ago; as far as I can recall, WB wasn't actually on it. Another reason why WB coming to GOG was so unexpected is due to no mention of it before.
Maybe they were just lucky and could not warn before. Like I imagine that WB suddenly called them back after two years of waiting or so...
I hope WB are seeing these comments and other publishers to.

I am happy to buy DRM Free supported software as I know in years to come I can return to it.

With every other platform out there I have to hope that they haven't gone bankrupt and taken all my purchases with them. Looking at Steam.

With GOG I know, and I hope it never happens of course, I can back everything up and still play it.

Good point. Or possibly an exorcist. ;)
Great to see Warner Bros join the DRM-free revolution. More LEGO games = shut up and take my money!

@iseptimus: I agree but in all fairness it should be noted that many games on Steam are in fact DRM-free and only use Steam as a distribution platform. Once downloaded, you can copy such games out of the Steam folder or even onto a computer that has never been touched by Steam and run them just fine. For those particular games, owning a Steam copy is basically the same as owning a GOG.com copy - you only need to download it once, but if you haven't downloaded it and Steam/GOG.com goes defunct, . Here's a list for reference: http://steam.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_DRM-free_games

That being said, of course I prefer supporting GOG.com whenever a game is available DRM-free on both platforms because Steam doesn't actively promote DRM-free gaming.

Late to the party, but this is very nice.

Fear along with Stalker, are my two favorite mid 2000s PC FPSes. So good to see them both for sale here now.

If you are on the fence about buying it, get it!
Great games!

Well that explains why it is not here then.
This is great news and hopefully we see other LEGO video games going forward.
I have posted this epic news to a few LEGO forums in case LEGO fans are interested in the opportunity to buy some dirt cheap LEGO games from a store that respects your freedom and doesn't use DRM etc.
