Trailer looks good, the game includes an outfit from Bloodstained. Game is due out for Steam and Nintendo Switch, let's see if we can bring it here too.

...that's... uh... that's voice acting, I guess.

Gameplay looks like a mash of Magic Sword, Altered Beast and old Castlevania. Reading through the comments on the video, I see I'm not alone in thinking that.

I'm not sold on it just from the trailer though.
WOW, it smells of adolescence and arcades. Bring it here!
this is a Google Drive link for the demo:

It's 90s style, some might hate it, I love the feeling.

No, it's according to budget and I said nothing of hating or loving it. It's bad but it's bad for reasons I understand.

You know you spelled that all wrong. There's at least one "W" in there.
looks like a bad arcade shooter/beat'em up from 1991.
Mmmm... not sold on the graphical style. The disjoint between the high resolution and the low number of frames in the sprite animation is off-putting. I'm also not really a fan of the pre-SotN Castlevania gameplay, so there's that. I don't think this game is for me.
Graphics remind me of a SNES sidescroller.

Thanks for posting this here Jcoa!

I am the composer and co-producer for Wallachia Reign of Dracula.

We are a two man team based out of Paris France, and Minnesota USA. We started out with fangames. Our last one was called Castlevania The Lecarde Chronicles 2. I can't post links but, if you google search it there is a good PC gamer article about it if you are interested in knowing more.

We signed with a publisher late into development for a deal that would bring Wallachia to Nintendo Switch in addition to Steam. However, the game development itself has been self-funded. The voice acting cast for Wallachia Reign of Dracula features Kira Buckland (2B from Neir Automata) and Robert Belgrade (Alucard from Castlevania Symphony of the Night).

My teammate, Mig Perez has been making fangames since the early 90's. His games have a distinct style. It's possible that some of you may have seen his work before. Our games are very focused on solid gameplay, and challenge. While our last game was a 15 hour metroidvania grind, Wallachia is a simple 7-level action game. We decided to make a game like this for our first salable game because it gives us a good opportunity to focus on establishing the characters for the series, and it keeps us able to focus on the quality of gameplay. But we hope to do more with a sequel if it is able to happen. While I encourage you to all give the game a chance before you judge it, I totally understand that it's not for everyone.

We have been lucky to get the support of Koji Igarashi "Iga" and other members of his team with this project. As such, Miriam's costume from Bloodstained can be unlocked and worn in Wallachia Reign of Dracula! We are very humbled and appreciative of Iga's support.

There are a lot of great games out there these days, so I thank anyone who gives Wallachia Reign of Dracula a chance. The game is in the final process of coming to Steam. Nintendo Switch will follow a few months after. I will talk to our team and publisher about getting it here as well.

You can follow us on Twitter or Facebook for updates. Again, I can't post links yet, but a simple google search will send you our way!

Thanks everyone!

Thanks for posting.
Congrats, the game looks great and will probably pick it up.
Wich leads to the inevitable question, do you think it may be available on GOG?

Can you do us GOG users a favor? Can you talk to the folks "in charge" about speaking with GOG about releasing here, and also encourage them to spread the GOG wishlist link below on social media (so that, if someone wants to buy the game on GOG, he or she can vote to show support)?

Thank you for letting us know! A GOG release would be great, though it's be understandable, that you wish focus on STEAM first, and make certain that there are no bugs. The GOG community is a patient folk.
Thanks guys!

I am the music composer and co-producer. The platforms are ultimately left up to the publisher. But I will definitely bring it up to them again about bringing the game to GOG. Right now the two confirmed platforms are Steam and Nintendo Switch.
