blame Int creates they never bothered to work anything out with GOG
But... but... curation!!
GOG rejected it because... curation!!

/takes off tinfoil hat
I guess this can have two reasons. Either GOG was being GOG again and refused it for some ... reason. Or the devs put some DRM into the spin-off and are unwilling to remove it.
The godless evil immigrants took it Bradley; better go stop them. :P

You can blame Inti Creates and they would just love to hear from you!

What are you all people saying? Blame the company which develops the game and complain to them? But they DO have a GOG release! And the choices of platform, ends in less than 3 days from now!

Steam already got the store page entry; whatever happened to GOG's?

That it's not on GOG because the company developing it haven't made a deal with GOG.

Yes! They're the ones who have chosen not to release it on GOG.

No they don't. You're getting confused between the Bloodstained developer and the Curse of the Moon developer. For some reason they don't even seem to be handled by the same publisher.

Best thing to do might be to ask the people who are making you choose to see if you can "wait and see" for your choice for the bonus game (in case something gets worked out in the future).

GOG never had one because it at no point was it going to be on GOG. Apparently Curse of the Moon is a separate game made by a separate team and isn't even included in the contract with GOG.

I have a bad feeling about this... Up until a few days ago, there WAS a choice of "GOG: Region Free", under the survey options!

Isn't Curse of the Moon the prequel? Or is there a third game I'm unaware of? I didn't back it so I'm probably not up to date.

I'm a backer and I can tell you for a fact that right now only the main game has a GOG release, the retro prequel doesn't because Inti Creates who did the retro one seem to have no intrest in a GOG release. Despite a number of backers being pissed
can i just say, that as someone who backed this title through gog's very own advertisement of the project, this is supremely stupid, incredibly boneheaded, and very tacky. i don't easily disappoint, but i'm going to definitely request a refund if this doesn't magically make it here the same time it shows up on steam.

Please do. I didn't back so I don't have any leverage so to speak but I was sure hoping to buy it here. I made a wishlist entry for the bonus game by the way, but people should be writing to the dev/pub and GOG support about this (after all, they directly marketed the kickstarter so it's pretty shitty for GOG users to not be able to get the whole thing here).

Update

Facts:

1. GoG was there on the survey before.
2. It was just a misunderstanding internally that got it there.

Analysis:

3. "Hey everybody, regarding the retro mini game not being on GOG, long story short it was the result of an unfortunate miscommunication between Inti Creates, ArtPlay and Fangamer stemming from when the original KS campaign happened. The retro game was never going to be on GOG.

It's an unfortunate miscommunication, but rest assured it won't affect anyone's ability to download or enjoy their copy of the retro mini game.

Also just a reminder that 505 Games isn't involved with "Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon". It's a separate project being developed and published entirely by Inti Creates and ArtPlay."

Bottom lines

4. They (Inti Creates) didn't plan, or want, to bring the prequel minigame to GOG.
5. And this is both certain and finite.

Solution:

You people are right. Only by a) contacting en masse the company, b) signing the petition linked above, or c) maybe "through other means", should we demand a later gog release, ideally in the form of GOG-Connect service! After all, GOG release was an unlockable achievement, a kickstarter milestone, which was unlocked by funding the project! Which raised 10 times the revenue it needed initially, to be made! And became the best funded kickstarter project ever, even though for a short period of time!

This won't end well.
