Hey after receiving some Gift Cards I was wondering will they work. I didn't see any info in the FAQ, but I could have missed it. If it's possible, a link to an example would be great. I.e. do we just use our normal address when entering gift card info, since it's not verifiable as a personal visa card. Secondly I don't think gift cards have security codes on back, at least here in the US (not sure region matters).

Thanks for any tips or links. :)

Actually, they do. I'm from the same country as you. You use them exactly like normal credit cards, as far as I know, and your address works fine. I had a $75 Visa card I used from my brother and I never had a problem.

From previous threads where people have tried to use prepaid cards from the US here, I'd say you can't. As I understand it, US prepaid cards can usually only be used within the US, and GOG.com is not a US company.

Edit:
Well, zeogold says otherwise, and as I have no personal experience with it (not being from the US), I defer to his presumably superior knowledge ;-)

Edit 2:
Apparently I take back what I said in the previous edit :-D

Y'know, it just now dawns on me he's talking about GOG. Nevermind what I said, go with the guy above me.
Lol, you guys are making it worst! J/K

Ok, so from this I'm going to take it, we in the US can NOT use gift cards at GOG. Hopefully someone will post if it's possible.

Thanks

OFC, Zeogold were you referring to Steam?

Sorry, it's just that I never tried using the card at GOG when I had it. I thought you were just talking about using it in general.
Hehe, no worries, I appreciate the replies!

I thought maybe you were thinking of Steam since it's a US company and just haven't had your coffee yet! ;)
Are they US-only or international? To buy games from GOG, your cards must support international transactions/purchases.
Most pre-paid gift cards in the US are restricted from making international purchases since that is a fairly common way to launder money. You should check the terms and conditions for the card to confirm if the ones you recieved are restricted in this way. Odds are, they will be. To get around it, you can attach the card to a PayPal account and use that to buy from GOG.
I see, yes just read the card and it does say "anywhere in the US". So thanks for all the replies ! :)
