What happened to this feature, I remember years ago you could move your games around on your virtual shelf just by mouse clicking grab and move. Lets bring this back and add it to Galaxy. Go to the link below to like.

"years ago" being the operative words here. It's gone; part of the continuous "improvements" to the website.

EDIT:
Here, I found the thread in question:

Here you go. Gog removed it as a feature but my script adds it back.

Enjoy :)
I will edit my original post but this is the link I meant to leave.

You should probably just vote for this since it has already gathered quite some votes ;-)

Thanks! Thats what I was looking for.
Manual sorting is not coming back, at least not on the site.

Thanks to adaliabooks and his hard work, not only did we get it back, but have now more features than the native GOG manual sorting offered.

Cheers adaliabooks, you rock!

Listen here- this is the 21st century, ok? We have ugly, mobile friendly tiles, not some virtual boxes you can click-grab and move around. What are you, a caveman? Go unlock some achievements in our gaming client, buy some unfinished games and don't bother us with your antiquated bullshit, ok?
Yeah, the manual sort got removed for whatever reasons. They don't appear to have intentions to bring it back, but that could change over time too, nothing is written in stone. There are a lot more important features/functionality that appeal to a wider range of users that are likely going to take their priority for some time to come, but it's nice to have 3rd party tools such as Adalia and Barefoot to pick up some of the slack in the mean time.

Eventually, we will probably have some other solutions available for things like this if and when GOG publishes the Galaxy API as promised, but that wont likely occur until they actually have a finalized stable documented API. Right now it is in a constant state of flux as the development of Galaxy changes, and that's not something you want in a public API by definition, so we'll have to wait. Judging from the rate of progress on existing features/functionality, the features/functionality they have claimed they plan on supporting in the future, and some personal speculation of other features that they're likely to implement, I'd say they have a long and time consuming road ahead of themselves for sure. I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if we see a stable release of the Galaxy platform and subsequent release of the public documented API any time in the next 12-24 months. I think they've taken on a monumental task (which I applaud), but that finite resources and parallelizeability will bottleneck progress for some time to come.

I wouldn't expect a manual sort to come out of GOG for years if ever at this point.

Well said. I would find the situation unacceptable if I couldn't sort my library via the tags exactly how I like it. I agree that it is suboptimal and looks frickin' ugly compared to the old shelf (even though there was some low-quality box art) but as long as I can arrange 50 games exactly the way I like I can live with it.

As I've said several times before: I, personally, do not have any use whatsoever for a virtual game shelf that doesn't allow me to sort my favorite titles. And since I was used to having a game shelf that I liked, that is a huge drawback.
I voted for this a long time ago and still kinda annoys me that I can't do this. Would think this should be a standard feature of the website and the library shelves.
Didn't know about adalia fundamentals script so gonna check that out and maybe install it. Third party solution is better than no solution.

And thanks to my whining and Adaliabooks great programming, we have the ability to manually sort easily in a text document!
Pah! I have so many games that I can't be arsed to actually manually categorize them.
