Hey everybody!

I have just installed Prince of Persia Sands of Time on my MacPro (13 inches, beginning 2011) but when I tried to start playing the program told me that I have a video card that is not supported...Is it something that I can fix??

I really in love with this game and I have already paid to have it...Is it possible to fix this prblem??

Thank you all!

Cheers!

Unfortunately the store page clearly states that "Compatibility notice: This game requires a graphics card that supports Hardware T&L. Most Intel video devices don't support this feature. Click here for details."
This being said you can check the game sub forum for possible solution, and update your video card drivers.
If nothing solves your problem you can ask GOG to return your money because your system can't play the game at all.

What video card (GPU) do you have?

At least I don't recall having any issues playing any of the GOG Prince of Persia games with Intel HD 4000 GPU (Windows 7 64bit), using new drivers from Intel's homepage.

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000006026.html

lists the Intel GPUs which have hardware T&L. It is quite an extensive list, you must have some very old and cheapo Intel GPU if it lacks it. I thought pretty much all GPUs have hardware T&L since like 2000 or so (ever since we got past the 3dfx Voodoo cards era, they didn't have it IIRC).
Hey!!! thank you!

I have a Intel HD Graphics 3000...for this reason I don't understand...
I don't think it is due to the intel HD not supporting T&L . 2011 MacBook pros sported a Sandy Bridge CPU, thus an Intel HD3000, that is compatible with T&L .

My instinct tells me it might be Wine that does not recognize the HD3000 properly

update : checking a bit further, I found a wrapper for that game : http://paulthetall.com/prince-of-persia-the-sands-of-time-mac/

Aside from checking that your wine and OS X are up to date, it's hard to advise you anything. WineHQ only lists tests Under Linux ( the game then being listed as gold, thus running but with issues). I suppose you already contacted support ( although GOG only sells the game as Windows game, so they may not be in a position to offer support )
