The updates are pain in the you know where...
Okay you point out which of my games are updated, great. But then no indication of which file is updated.. There are bunch of files and most of the time I RE download them to find out that the actual game is not updated at all!!!

Would it be to hard to indicate which file is actually is updated?

They provide an update separately, if not you'll need to redownload the entire game.
If you don't want to check what is updated and when use Galaxy as it auto-updates games.
If you use the DLer, the changelog tells you the patch number. Then go to the DLer links and if that patch number isn't listed, you have to DL the entire installer file.

Not sure how Galaxy works.

Auto updates, if you turn auto updating off it notifies you in some way.

If you look at the game in your library (on the GOG website - you can filter for updated) - there is under the More button a changelog which tells you what has updated and when.

That would clarify the ingame changes, he's probably confused due to there being multiple files with browser downloads.

Mostly magic, muggles have it pretty hard though.
Thanks everyone..

I don't use any of the apps.. No dwnlder, no Galaxy and no auto update...
And yes although they allow filtering the games that updated but unfortunately not the actual files in the title folder...

So I think that could be easily fixed...

cheers

As several people already told you: that's what the changelog is for.

The changelog tells you if the update was a patch (and gives you the respective patch number), a change to the installer or a change in the extras and what exactly was changed.
Randalator, for a God of Sarcasm, that was too polite...

I haven't noticed mentioning of a change log by itself.
I thought you have to use 'the DLer' to access to the change log.
If that's the case, that's not good for me.

I guess I am looking for a sympathy here, for a third option to obtain the
necessary info, for people that don't want to use any connectivity application.
I believe these kind of things shouldn't be obligatory...
And I think it requires a very little work to provide such an option...

No need for the DLer to see the changelog. Go to your library, click on the game and when the window expands, look for the MORE button. Click on that for a dropdown menu of options, Changelog being one of them.

I'm not entirely certain it differentiates between ptches and updates to installers though (I thought it just called everything a patch). But at least you can see what's been updated.
Thanks bunch
