We would like to inform you that, due to our storage and CDN provider's outage, we are encountering technical issues that may cause difficulties in downloading and updating your games both through the GOG GALAXY client and GOG Store. Already downloaded files are in no way affected.

We are trying to mitigate this external problem by switching to our secondary storage while our provider is restoring data. We would also like to highlight that those issues do not affect purchasing games. Currently available discounts on selected titles will not be extended due to the above.

It is our team's top priority to resolve those issues and we aim to resolve them as fast as possible. Apologies for any inconveniences caused.

Play something you have installed in your hard drive, or install something you have backed up previously, until the annoying issue is being resolved eventually. Or even purchase something for the next hours if you really want. The most probable test to see if everything did back officially to normality will be the removing of the banner in the main store page
Some of us are unlucky enough to have done a clean reinstall of Windows, so now we can't play anything.

Well, Powerslide offline installer still gives 404 in browser and fails in Galaxy, same for Torchlight soundtrack and avatars. However I just bought Class of '09 and this one downloads fine. I guess you will have to check game by game, file by file because only random ones are missiong.

P.S. Explanation:
People who use galaxy will have experienced the current issues primarily as a download stuck at 91-92%.
People who download offline installers will have experienced the current issues primarily as a 404 error.

Hence my observation, which might imply --- or not --- that (very roughly) about 3/4 of GOG's user base uses galaxy.

''Do not affect purchasing games'' Why would anyone purchase games from your app WHEN THEY CANT DOWNLOAD THEM? That's like an airline company going ''Even though we don't fly airplanes, you can still get your ticket!''

Jazjen007: For me I think it's fixed? I'm currently downloading a 60+gb game and updating another. They're both currently stuck at 92% though. Is that a result of this problem? Either way, looks like it's at least semi-functioning now.
I am also stuck at 92%. I assume this is a result of the outage.

The main differentiator of the GOG store (and the sole reason to buy here as opposed to elsewhere with superior online services imho) is that you can backup offline installers to install & play your games offline regardless of the status of the store.

You should actively do so and use your offline installers more to play your games.

The main annoyance of a situation like this should be that you cannot download new purchases you haven't downloaded yet or get new updates for pre-existing purchases.

Except for my most recent purchase, all my other games are backed up on my home network right now. I'm not dependent on the GOG store to install or play my games and this is precisely why I bought them here. Not other reason.

Apparently the Amazon Prime subscription Free games didn't give any problem to people. About yours, time will tell if it is revoked or not, It happened before. Anyways, Maybe you will be lucky, or not.
