Enter the Gungeon has just received "A Farewell To Arms" update. Get the game 50% off until April 8th, 10 PM UTC.

Enter the Gungeon’s ‘A Farewell to Arms’ update brings a first to Gungeon expansions- two new playable Gungeoneers in The Paradox and The Gunslinger. Battle-tested Gungeoneers will welcome the arrival of dozens of new guns and items, a new secret floor with a new boss, and the addition of community-inspired Rainbow Mode! Additional features, tweaks and fixes keep up with the philosophy to make the player feel “more powerful, more often” implemented in the previous update.

Last I heard on the subreddit for the game it's the final update period as there are no plans to do another expansion for the game as the devs want to move on. I'm not complaining I've owned the game since 2016 and we are just now getting the final expansion.

I'll probably dive back into the game at some point in the next couple weeks.

Awesome! Now, I just need to get past the fourth floor at least once... and get past the first or second floor more than 50% of the time. :-P

Do you have to unlock the new gungeoneers? I don't see Paradox or Gunslinger. There's a purple dude that I can't select. I have the latest version, 2.1.2 and assume it has the new update but am having a hard time convincing myself of it. It doesn't feel more powerful or anything (less "coin") and I feel like I die more w/ the didge-roll. Sigh, I suck.

I don't see the update in my Games. How can i update it?

arkzai: I don't see the update in my Games. How can i update it?
It's not a standalone update, it's patched into the game so you can just start up and play and the content will be there if you use Galaxy otherwise if you use offline installers you have to download the game again.

Having the same challenge--I don't see a change to my game or any indication of new content from the Farewell to Arms update. I'm running GOG Galaxy, and used the verify/repair function to make sure I have updated to the latest 2.1.9 version. I do not see the additional characters on the New Game screen. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling using Galaxy--same result. Am I missing something? Do I need to unlock the new characters through gameplay?
