Being summertime here in my side of the world, I'm looking to tailor my games to the season. Does anyone know of any 'tropical' or 'beachy', or oceanish-based games on GOG which might tick that particular box for me?

I understand this is a weird, weird request. But every season I love to read beachy books (Alex Garland's The Beach!), watch scuba/diving/beachish movies (The Big Blue by Luc Besson!), and generally soak up the feeling.

Bioshock games

Captain Blood (demo)

Close To The Sun

DREDGE

Does anyone know of anything obvious on here? Genre isn't so important, but beach-y settings are! Thanks (for any potential help!)

Spirit of the Island is on sale currently, and Spirit of the Island Beach Resort is a free DLC for it. I know there are other games that might fit as well, but since you said "beachy" these were what came to mind first.

In the same vein as the aforementioned Spirit of the island there is Stranded Sails. And not really having beaches, Windbound is a game about sailing. Unfortunately both of these appear to be also rather mediocre games. =(

An edge case might be Pillars of Eternity 2. It's not really about beaches, but about islands. You spend alot of time sailing and there are many, many islands to embark on - islands have beaches. :S

EDIT: Stardew Valley has both a beach (with and without a pier) and you can choose a beach as the starting point where your home will be.

Tropico series? For underwater games, SOMA.
