Swedrami: Only time GoG checks for the location is during purchase, from the looks of it.
From my experience it does not matter either way from where you've purchased a gift code and from where the gift code is then redeemed afterwards, never had any problems in this regard.
Good to know. It has been a while since I have been feeding codes for uncensored versions to my friend in Germany.
I mentioned it, because Steam and Origin have regional codes sometimes (only EU, only US ...). Here in Italy there is no way for me to buy or activate a code for American McGees Alice. All keysellers say that the code won't activate here.
DoomSooth: Isn't using a VPN to circumvent that a big no-no?
It is against the terms of service, when you mask your IP with the one from another country, yes. But also getting a uncensored version to Australia is too. So you're going the no-no route either way.
They won't prosecute it because of a gift code.
I once changed my IP to Bangkok, moved my Steam account there, so I could activate a f2p game which was meant only for the asian market. And all other european and US players did the same :D
It took a couple of weeks tho, you need to let some time pass before you can move accounts again.
