My GOG Galaxy client used to work fine until one of these days it popped up a dialog window during start up saying that it couldn't download the latest version but that I could download it directly from gog galaxy website. I dismissed this dialog window, the main galaxy window opened and when I clicked on the connect button it didn't connect nor displayed any error message.

Here's everything I tried to solve this problem:

1 Downloading the latest version from the web site and installing it.
2 Doing a clean install of the latest version.
3 Running gog galaxy as admin.
4 Disabling my firewall + a/v.
5 Restarting my computer.

I'm running Gog 1.1.8.1 on Windos 10 with Kaskersky Internet Security 16.
