The situation needs deescalated.

It serves no purpose to pull a big dog's tail, then cry after getting bit, just as it serves no purpose to do anything that will cause you grief, for the accolades later that come too late.

Clumsy wording, I know, but hope that they make sense.

Edit: Exact restitution on the world stage here, not the battlefield; Is it right, no, but it is practical. jmo

I don't think this is going to descalate. This is probably just a precursor to some far worse conflict.

It's now confirmed that a russian APC force has moved in to East Ukraine during this night. It seems phase 2 of the Invasion is about to begin. I think we se where this is going to since its basically the same as with the Invasion of Crimea.

Im not suprised really since all the sanctions against Russia have made a big hit on their economy and they had to devaluvate the rubbel which means that the prices will increase a lot in Russia and they need to get things moving and as usually in times of crisis military economy is the easiest to go with.

It's a usual thing of the last months. Must be humanitarian mission. You know how it is. "Russia. Bringing peace and prosperity to surrounding lands since times immemorial."
Fuck, two jet squadrons and several transports just passed right above my head going East, I heard even more stuff. Shit is going down.

Yeah this was expected since Poland also was prepared to go to war if Russia moves in to Ukraine further so we are at a fracture point at the moment. Hope this does not escalate too far and we get WWIII.

Oh dear, I'm sorry for you guys in Eastern Europe, hopefully Putin stops this whole "let's revive the Ussr"-bullshit soon.

Having active spies from the USA all over the globe, this certainly does feel like (always not so) cold war again.

It's an announced NATO maneuver, Ukrainian Polish air defense practice, to be exact.

No idea where that info is on English, sorry. But you shouldn't worry about 8 planes... if you see 200+, then it's time to worry.

Don't be sorry, German is my first language. ^^
And thanks for the link.

To be fair, the timing was weird (since just last night Russian military vehicles entered Ukraine). And the amount of planes was certainly larger than in the plan you sent me (I saw twelve planes and heard several more). Still, let's hope you're right.

Edit: Okay, it wasn't last night since reports of the vehicles came in earlier. The article I read stated "at night". :P

Thanks for the data it has calmed me down a bit. I wish there some way to know what is really going down in East Ukraine.

And Klumpen just to let you know I am as far away from Ukraine as you are in Germany but I don't really feel safe even with the whole might of Nato behind us if this spirals out of control. And yes this is Cold War 2.0. Anyway we can only watch and hope for the best.

I read online now that the Russian APC convoy has been ambushed and mostly destroyed by Ukrainian military with artillery bombardment during last night going by the official statement from the Ukranian presidency. It seems Ukraine is not going to look away anymore.

But Russia's Putin said that Russian apc's never crossed the border (despite Guardian journalists seeing it) so that couldn't possibly have been Russian apc's that blew up there ;)

Of course.... who knows what borders Putin sees as Russian....

Well I don' think all the newspapers and media organizations are lying about it and also the general secretary of Nato officialy confirmed russian incursion in to Ukraine - I mean we do have satellite surveillance in this age :) You can not hide troop movements.

Im afraid to think that Putin is thinking about 1914 borders - you know russian east prussia and all that.

so is there a reliable proof about russian armed forces apcs got destroyed on ukraine ground?

so far i know, there were during the whole crisis more that one attempt to blame russia for bad actions, all of them were proofed as non real.

and now again we get said by the "very reliable" ukraine (fashistic) government, that russian armed forces apcs got destroyed on ukraine ground, cause the government need the intervention of nato and would try everything for it!!

also where are us satellite pics about it, we all can count on us satellites looking on ukraine 24/7 and seeing everything.
