The poles sure put up one hell of a fight against Spain!

teceem: I see your smiley.... but are you trying to imply that I think that topics about non-(computer)-gaming subjects don't belong here? I said no such thing.
My only point was: the whole "victim role" is a bit absurd. It's like saying that hamburgers and pizzas are not appreciated by most people.

Swedrami: Good game from ze Germans vs. Portugal an hour ago - a bit biased of course, but this was arguably the most entertaining one of the tournament so far, certainly in terms of how and how many goals were scored in one game.
That flying kick by Gosens hammering the ball into the net was a thing to behold. Shame it was off-side.

This is probably our national feature - we only start to act bravely when we have a knife on our throat. The history of our opening matches is a history of disasters and embarrassment. We will see, I do not predict great successes for Poland in this tournament, but it was nice to look at Polish team yesterday.

I love teams that show fighting spirit, no matter what my skill level. In this tournament, I was impressed by the islanders (Wales, Scotland) and the Hungarians.

After the first match of Polish team, I was very skeptical before the match with Spain. I was surprised how good they played yesterday. It seems that we can expect a very interesting match on Wednesday!

Yes, another game nearly ruined by VAR. wasn’t a penalty, anymore than the one the other day was a penalty. Just another group of wasters st UEFA who want to make a name for themselves. Thankfully Spain missed otherwise the game would have been over.
Couple of good games, was flicking between them. Shakiri (his hips don’t lie) good for CH. Great round for wales though, down to 10 and still second.

Agreed. Swedish offence so far has been lacklustre to put it mildly but I hope the boys will surprise us!

The match between England and Scotland was probably the most exciting 0-0 game I've seen in years. :)

Good news then, fortunately for you Polish defense might be weakest in tournament.

Wednesday is gonna require a shit load of beer...
(Currently watching the ruskies loosing to Denmark)
Wow, Denmark, what a game!
I watched a bit of the Denmark game, before most of the goals, then had to switch for the missus. Nice to see good old VAR at it again. Lukaku was about half a mile on side, but VAR probably felt left out. Don’t know why they bother having a ref on the pitch.

Great game Denmark...Wales is next in 1/8 finals, potentially it could be very entertaining match. And Belgium still looks like one of top 4 teams in this tournament.

But, must say, I really don't like this format with 11 different host nations, it's a big advantage for home teams.

He was literally 2 millimeters offside (with his toenail)... but I agree, VAR can be too pedantic sometimes :)

Indeed.

Christensen's 3:1 screamer against the Russians should be a strong contender for the tournament's best goal, too.
Well, Sweden won but the poles again put up an honorable fight, scoring 2 goals (a third one withdrawn b/c of offside)
