The game looks really cool. I'm one of the people who got Pillars of Eternity Royal Edition when it was $90, so obviously I like these kinds of games. But if this game is exclusive to Steam, I'm not buying it. Fuck Steam.

I would be greatly surprised to learn that's the case, even if neither Obsidian nor Paradox are exactly paragons of DRM-free. Perhaps this reassures you somewhat, unofficial and unconfirmed though it may be.
