It was actually martigasin's thread about the weight of review scores that reminded me, once again, that: "Yuup, Two Worlds series is pretty great, and certainly loveable!" - thou panned by critics, sure.

So I went and googled to see if TW III was announced - I actually await it, truth be told. Five years, Reality Pump, hey!

No such luck, but I thought this was nice to see:

Okei, it is not maybe of same gravity as "let's end famine" etc: but I do think that the world would be improved - slightly maybe, but at least quite tangibly, lol - if we had Two Worlds 3 in it!

Maybe we should sass Reality Pump in their fora, but still: 20 signatures only, when the intent is arguably so cool??? (myself counted in)

I would see this as trilogy, thou, ending the saga of these particular bro and sis - but to me the series deserves another title. Anyone with me?
I love the TW games, but I wont fill out a form like that for it tbh. Ravens Cry didn't exactly set the world on fire either.

I would like to see a new Two Worlds especially if the new part would improve on Two Worlds 2 as the second part improved on the first one.
I've always been interested in the Two Worlds games, but have not picked them up even when on sale due to the fact of some bad reviews I read (although that was a long time ago, so I can't remember exactly what was said that's turned me off).

I do love a good RPG though (varied character progression/skills/magicks, lots of different things to do/people to talk to, interesting combat), so I could be convinced to eventually bite the bullet and try one out. Is there anything that sets these games apart? Should I start with 1 or can I go straight to 2 (storyline doesn't concern me so much as the overall enjoyment of the game does.)?

Well, u could go sass them on their fora, lol.

No..? ;-) I suspect - that is.

So do let me a bit Miss Susan with an amiable reaction from u, hopefully. But unless u have reason to think that world shall be a worse place for Two Worlds 3 (TW3) - why would you not be just a little bit generous towards the person who initiated??

I think it was nice and well placed thing to do. I am not sure there will be +50k signatures, but ... 20 is not right, methinks!

In all fairness I don't fully understand your post :)

Miss Susan?

I sassed them on the Ravens Cry Steam forums for their DRM stance and the quality of Ravens Cry.

I said I love TW games (I have them both on PC and 360), but if Ravens Cry is anything to go by, I wouldn't hold my breath for another quality game from them.

I wont fill out the form because I am not comfortable giving my personal details to some random website, no offence intended towards the Opening Post. :)

Fair enough - I am generally bit foo caustic to be exactly understandable, lol. ;-)

And liberally bigoted it seems, assuming Brits would for the main know Terry Pratchett. Miss Susan is personification of that rather intimidating school teacher, but also grand-daughter of Death.

Sorry for that assumption. :-D

I've never read any of Terry Pratchetts work tbh, so I guess that is something I will have to rectify :)
Done. #21

Riotact, I like yer style! :-D

To me, it would just be a great pity not to see how far Reality Pump could reach, in view that TW2 was both pretty polished yet keeping with their differentiating humour and quirky style from the first.

This is of course purely a matter of opinion, but out of all playable characters, I find the nameless hero of Two Worlds one of the most likeable ones to play (together with Hawke from DA2, actually) which is quite rare in case of single choice lead char.

It's that laconic humour I would guess, and that the guy remains totally un-fazed and non-judgemental in face of weirdest things to add interest to your standard fetch & kill. A demonic umbrella eating customers? Matter-of-factly as ever, "I have been hired to perform a product recall." :-p

As to the ending, this is probably a bit unorthodox, but I would really quite enjoy if it was possibly to marry him off, to finish the series.

The brazen lad was busy enough with flirtations etc in #II to warrant this, methinks.

I'd just be quite curious to see if the writers could pull off that running "nameless hero" gag to the end - or if we would finally have right to a name at exchange of wows!! I think they could write something quite amusing out of such scene. And okei, being written so likeable, I would not mind a happy ending for this devoted brother as such either; romantic soul and all that, lol.
Weird, I just liked it because the sister was really hot!

On saying that, if anyone is looking for me I'll be playing Two Worlds for a bit :)

You ARE aware that the developer was shut down earlier this year anyway, right?

Were they really? The community manager on Steam denies that. In addition, the last game by Reality Pump, Raven's Cry, will get a new fixed (hopefully) version in 11 days, so even if the community manager was lying, you have to wonder who is actually developing the fixed version, if not Reality Pump.
