Its an alternative to youtube for me if i want to see a gameplay for a certain game mainly. Otherwise it seems pointless (well for me)

That's what I think as well. Good for checking what a games like. Gog's twitch channel is terrible but there are some cool streamers amongst the parasites.

Niggles: I know its great for watching people playing games, but honestly... whats with some of the streamers just sitting there talking... and people watching them talk?

Ancient-Red-Dragon: What are you talking about? "Watching people play games" isn't "great." It's less fun than watching paint dry or grass grow, and equally as terrible as watching people talk.
It's weird, i've had people beg me to stream, and i'm pretty sure i'm boring, yet a handful of people want more.

EDIT: For context, i largely use the damn thing 'cause uploading to youtube seems risky with COPPA and if i just need a video to showcase how to beat a boss, or how cool a game looks to someone i'm talking to, i can do that no sweat. I think the whole thing is nuts, especially with them going further and further to the left. Hell, there's been talk of them trying to ban voice chatting, because "it gives people an unfair advantage." So far it seems to have been thrown on the back burner, though, after the outrage.

I mean, there's plenty of other channels to watch :P
I mainly watch melee and tetris tournaments. Maybe the occasional new release showcase and GDC/convention stuff.

And pretty much only one speedrunner.

Who rarely streams now.

Fug.

Honestly other than that, nothing really keeps my attention for too long.
So yes it's basically TV.
The latest antics from twitch following the DMCA abuse is yet more censorship and abuse with their new terms by banning people for saying simp and some other words which protect their camwhores.

Why isn't there a boycott on twitch and gog for supporting them when there was many complaints about so called chinese censorship?

I actually got hit by some DMCA abuse, oddly enough. Fortunately, i don't care about streaming with any seriousness, there, but when i was playing minecraft with the Skyrim pack, i got hit with their automod over some cover band, and another was actually some Antifa group who literally copyrighted them talking over the skyrim theme, over what I assume was having a revolution, but it wasn't even in english. I kept disputing all the damn claims, but i got ignored.

But, hey, twitch is twitch, and the place to complain about twitch censorship isn't GOG. I'm not aware of what exact level of twitch support GOG has, but i'm also aware all this happened under Youtube, as well, which GOG uses for hosting it's videos. However, i assume GOG isn't taking money from youtube, so it's not really supporting youtube. I don't know what the deal with twitch is, but i imagine ads aren't running on their channel. Then again, i'm not exactly watching, either.

EDIT: But, if you want to go after twitch, just find some young looking twitch camwhores and get some people on it. I heard pornhub got hit by some crusaders, lately, and it appears to be pretty effective if they can hit PH.

Unless GOG is hosting ads, there's no tangible support. Twitch actually has to have some sort of benefit, first. Don't get me wrong, i wouldn't be surprised at this point if they did support twitch, but i'm not seeing it (i'm not exactly looking, either). I'm intentionally leeching into twitch, myself. Twitch makes no money off of me, and i ensure that never happens. My account is a net loss for them, because i use their server space and bandwidth, but they don't get to shove ads onto what it is i people look at my account for.
