I'm guessing it came out around 2005 or so but I'm really not sure. All that I can remember for sure is that I played the demo in 2006. It was 2D with graphics comparable to Warlords Battlecry only with far more lush environments flora wise.
I'm afraid I can't remember much about the factions, but I do remember one unit belonging to some sort of beasts/druid faction: a werewolf. It was a very durable and dangerous high tier unit.

For a long time I confused the name of the game with Rise of Legends, so it's possible that the name of the game has 'rise' or 'legends' in the title.

Any ideas?

Do you really intend to play it? Trust me, it's better to play Warlords Battlecry series ;P Rising Kingdoms is not a good game. Demo is fine but the final product is not/

Oh no it just really bugged me that I couldn't remember the name of the game. I wanted to read up a bit about it. I might give it a go again one day and try one of the campaigns, but as it stands the Warlords Battlecry series is much more appealing to me :)
Another mystery solved in (far) less than one page. :) I wonder what this forum's success rate is for solving this sort of question?
