I thought Double Dragon had a nasty virus attached to it, turns out it was just a download of the movie.

You'll have to nuke your disk. No antivirus will handle that.
No worries, Avast quarantainded my Wasteland2.exe without even asking some time ago :)

I think it is polse fasitive.
I'm reminded a while back finding out quite often AHK (AutoHotKeys) would get flagged as a Trojan horse (especially compiled scripts using a static library).
Sounds like "False positive". Submit them to:
Report a false detection | AVG Worldwide
And wait for their response.

Alternative solution
Uninstall AVG and use another anti-virus, a list of free avs:
Free Antivirus Software

nurTARDIS: Hey guys, so if I download Dracula trilogy, which I did, and it puts a burr up my beloved WEbroot's bum saying that TROJAN family 32 whatsit whatever is in the .exe file of the , I think it was the first Dracula, what does that mean?

JudasIscariot: It's a false positive, I assure you :)

Please submit the file to your antivirus program's developer so that they can add it as a trusted file :)
i hope so too , cause i was unistalling dukenukem which i bought here, and my KAV 2015 alarmed me telling there was something funny going on

31.01.2015
12.53.20;Detected object (Process memory) was deleted;
e:\gog games\small-games\duke nukem 3d\unins000.exe;
e:\gog games\small-games\duke nukem 3d\unins000.exe;
PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic;
Other malware;01/31/2015 12:53:20

i decided to google on the alert, and there were loads of people who were told that it might be a false positive
meanwhile my kav did his job proteting me and did a advanced disinfection and a reboot, and check after the reboot,
i also had malware bytes tool scanning my folders, and memory, all turned out to be 'clean'

I dont know what it was, i only had this once before in 2014, uninstalling kknd extrem gave a same message bout a trojan or so.... i did a google and ignored it.
But now that it happend a gain i started to look for this in the forum here and saw i was not the only one.
Funny thing is i bought 100s of retail cd/dvd games and i never had this problem.

Does the installer/uninstaller uses a funny or exotic packer? or maybe some other funny things that are not standard?
That might explain why so many av and malware tools sounded an alarm and started to protect our pc from harm.

I always read that if you would buy legal software you will never have to worry about funny things that might become to your computer .

ps: i wanted to checkl my shelf but.... it says i have to login again?
i thought this bug was fixed?

i have 179 games now all bought here on GOG , on steam i have a few , and on GG i have casuals

152 games
103 purchases (some were bundles with 6 or 10 games so thats why there are more games then purchases)

also have loads of retail cd/dvd games (casuals)
and some classic like red alert c&c fallout baldurs jagged alliance etc etc etc

so thats quite some spending, at least i should be worry free about some malware/trojan infecting me?
now i have to check my entire windows 7 aswell, nice.....

nah thats no good, they blame the av and antimalware tools, for beiing cautious
i think that if so many av and antimalware tools sound an alram, they cant be all wrong :D so ....

i think that installers and uninstallers and the like should be maed using proper techniques and no funny compressions, weird headers and checksums.....

i dont know it think its fishy whats going on ....

so many complaints on the internet about legit software bought and paid for and then causing so muchs mischief?
i don t know....

*** sighes ***

anyways i thought i could do some relaxed gaming, now i am off to scan the pc that will take long to entirely check it....
what a waste of my time ...

update:

You might want to check out www.virustotal.com. It scans a file with about 50 different antivirus programs and gives you the result.

if you can't uninstall it from Control Panel, you can do a system restore before your file got deleted.

If you need to manually uninstall a game, have you tried Revo Uninstaller? It has a free version and it can remove programs that are unable to uninstall.

LOL, those kind of games aren't severally attached to the Windows System, no need for a proper "uninstall". Maybe some Reg Entries but who cares hahahaha.

Curios part is Kaspersky detecting a false-positive... Hmmm, have never do that to me. Which by the way, I am starting to doubt KIS potential since there are starting to reproduce some hidden folders called "EmieBrowserModeList" in my %APPDATA% folder :(

I don't use kaspersky, but are you sure that the file has actually been deleted? Anti-virus programs often quarantine a detected file, so you can choose whether to delete it or mark it as safe. If you aren't aware of this, have a look in the settings or options menu to see if there is a quarantine folder.

This kind of worked, at least removed the registry so i deleted the rest manually. Thanks.
