Hiya, I'm new. I had to get my bank to try and authorize a transaction almost 7 times! The last time was due to technical issues. I was wondering, is anyone else having this problem? I'm in the U.S.A. and international transactions are a bother so my super sweetheart friend from the main branch of my bank put an open on international transactions for me until 12 a.m. tonight.

I will follow this up with an email to GOG customer support email. Please be kind to me I'm a man just looking to play video games!
There's no kindness on GOG forum, sorry. :(

Here, let me down-rep your post for no reason, as an example.

But seriously, GOG-bears are most likely spending all the money they made this holiday on booze, strippers and coke(not coca-cola). Therefor will not be capable to answer your support email anytime soon. But I wish you luck!

Oh and, Happy New Year! :)

I've experienced this before and its not that the purchase is international but more about fraud as GOG has its financial headquarters it located in Cyprus. Cyprus, if you didn't know has a large amount international cyber-crime related fraud but its a tax free haven if a business is outside the country.

There won't be any easy way to go around your bank to buy things on GOG but I can definitely help as there are advantages staying on GOG, at least for now. Just change your chat settings to public and I can tell you some specifics, some of which may or may not work.
Yes, US banks are notoriously shitty with foreign transactions especially to Cyprus.

If they don't let you set permanent exceptions for specific shops, change banks.

That's probably a really good idea. I've rarely run into any trouble, and if I did it has always been my bank's fault.
Thanks y'all. I was wondering if I get a wal-mart credit card could I do international transactions? I've tried paypal with ebay before and somehow $257 was withdrawn from my account without authorization. Sketchy on that stuff!

Wrong. It used to be that way, but not for a while.

"To reflect an internal reorganisation of GOG’s business as part of which it will relocate from Cyprus to Poland"
