But to anyone who kickstarted this game they will be receiving an early beta access to the game, don't know when though.

They better be making this the best possible old school RPG if its taking this long.
Something inside me tells me it won't get released in Q1 2017... :P
In any case, if the game proves to be something extraordinary, then let them delay it all they want. Within reason of course! The only thing i hope is that after these delays, they'll be able to release a relatively bug-free game rather than a hurried bug-ridden version that will need months of patience to get patched so as to be enjoyed without problems.

Most likely the reason. With the right tools a dungeon filled with some creatures & loot is quick and dirty; but a full fledged RPG choice & consequence interactive storyline is the real deal. Tons of text for similar situations that spawn multible amount of tons of text for each choice taken and then some. Easily underestimated and for all I know the major reason for the rough releases of other games of that type.
Having a game that is like Planescape Tournament is a long dream from me.

Let them take all the time in the world that they need to fulfill my dream.

Dragon Age Origins was being developed since 2004 and was released in 2009.

And that game was chock-full of content and lore and world building.
I'm not in a hurry to play it, but when I do, it better be damn awesome.

Heck it worked for Warhammer: Total War with the delay from April to May.
