And I don't think we will see some real interesting stuff this week - there was never a bummer release while Witcher games were on focus.

I've not yet been able to get Dark Souls to try. The setting, artwork, and unforgiving brutality of it really appeals to me, but I'm not disagreeing, they could be over-hyped and bad as well, but I don't think their hype even comes close to the proportions of the hype and blind fandom of the bethesda games.

It is absolutely double-edged for me though. I bought both F3's and NV's CE and because of the hype+fandom was able to make my money back 5x! So they were great purchases, even if bad games.
