Is near a year since the last time that I tried GeForce Experience, so today I take the decision to try it again to see if it take any improvement.

When I look in the proposed optimisations for the installed games that it detect, this thing like to down the graphic quality of two of the games that run smoothly at ultra! The two games are X-Rebirth and Mass Effect Andromeda.

For other game, (Stellaris), it is saying that the current setting is of 1280x720, when is 1920x1080, so it is even unable to correctly detect settings of some games.

Is incredible how bad this software is.
Yeah I don't like to use it either because it is just their idea what graphics features I should be favoring over other, while my own preferences might be different. I rather set them manually, first dropping features I can definitely live without.
At the time of writing this, I fired up the latest version of GFE 2 (I don't want GFE 3 with its login to access features crap), and tried making it connect to the internet to check my rig's specs...but then it has issues which ultimately doesn't let it see the internet.

In addition, on an install of GFE 2.2.2, it said my GPU wasn't supported for GameStream, despite it being supported before. Jeesh, I just want to play PC games from my phone screen using the Moonlight app, and Nvidia's software doesn't even work. But then again, that's Nvidia for you.
Haven't used it since they started to require account and login. Before that, I only used it to download drivers which I can easily do manually. And setting up your games based on the recommendations of GeForce Experience? You might as well just use presets in the games and the result would be equally terrible.

It's the first thing I disable... then vignette and chromatic aberration. It's a bloody game, not a painting or a picture taken through a camera lens. Speaking of which, the "lens flare" effect developers still tend to use in some modern games (though it was far more popular back in the day) is also annoying.
