PixelBoy: As a third suggestion I would recommend No One Lives Forever series, which is an undeniable classic of the genre. Funny spy parody in the spirit of the 60s with a female protagonist. What's there not to like?

snowkatt: whats not to like is that its hard to get and nearly impossible to get running on modern systems ?
at least there be ps2 versions
Both games ran out of the box for me (NOLF goty and NOLF 2) on Win7 x64, the only thing that is somewhat problematic is to get unstretched widescreen with 16:9 aspect ratio in NOLF.

CMOT70: Non GOG, then The Wheel of Time is a great one that no one bought.
Hey I did! I played the game through the first time one or two years ago even though I've owned the game for ages.

I have a bit mixed feelings about WoT. On the other hand it definitely was an original FPS game (considering its weapons, types of enemies etc.), but I felt many of the "weapons", or spells, were maybe a bit too weird, and hard to use. Some big globe that slowly homes into an enemy (unless the enemy moves too fast), then doing damage to it over time...

The "normal" weapons like those spikes or daggers you throw were quite underpowered most of the time, some enemies even deflected them, making the weapon useless against them.

Vythonaut: • Alien Trilogy (PSX - emulation too)
It was also released for DOS (which means it is playable in dosbox)

I didn't know that, thanks for the info!
I know it outside my timeline, but will We Happy Few come to Gog?

Yes, it's on the upcoming list on the front page.
The '90s was such a great era for FPS games! Wolf3D, Doom, Quake, Unreal, Unreal Tournament, Blood, Shadow Warrior, Sin, and Serious Sam!

Great!
Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter.
Since Gog also have early access for some games now like Valve, any ideas if We Happy Few will have early access here as well on 25 aug?

drewpants: A lot of people don't like it, but I really enjoyed Blood 2. It has a great atmosphere, although the later levels do feel rather lazy.
I thought it was great too.
Halo on PC.
Red Orchestra.
Call of Duty + United Offensive, Call of Duty 2.
AVP Classic 2000
Postal 2.
Doom.
Quake
Hexen + Heretic.
Unreal Tournament.
Battlefront II.
Morrowind could technically count if you use only the bow.

Given what you said about Morrowind, does that mean Doom wouldn't count if you only used the chainsaw? :P
