Realized I never continued the list, and the period is almost ending, plus that Mobygames is about to switch to the new site so using it will become an exercise in frustration, was literally the only site out of those that I (used to) frequently use that I still felt comfortable using, not being plagued by "modern" design, mobile/touch-friendly, feature removals (well, had a few, but...) and so on...

Meh, anyway, still quite baffled by what it lists under "most popular", but going with the same idea as in my first list post, continuing:

Luxor 2
Magic Lanterns
Merry Gear Sol!d: Secret Santa
Miss Spider's Scavenger Hunt
Morton Subotnick's Playing Music
Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects
Norm Koger's The Operational Art of War III
Pac-Man World Rally
ParaWorld (MaxFulvus already mentioned this one, why wasn't it added?)
Pat Sajak's Trivia Gems
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow
PixelShips Retro
Pizza Panic
Prism: Light the Way

... Well, crap, guess I did this JUST in time to get this far, down to P, because the new site was just put up.

Thank you very much, added them all. I must have missed MaxFulvus mention of ParaWorld, thus its absence on the list. My bad.
Time Travel #13 - 2007 is now available: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/time_travel_13_2007
After some technical problems at the end of chapter 5 (for which there was fortunately a solution at the game forum), I finally made it to the final chapter of Runaway 2. I have to say that the story makes less and less sense the longer it goes on. I wonder if they made it up while they were already working at the game or if they maybe had to cut a lot of content which would have explained most of the things (but I doubt it).

The puzzles aren't bad though, but there's some pixel hunting involved and two or three times I needed a walkthrough, because I was stuck (or couldn't figure out how to do the things I knew I had to do).
I've completed Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle. The last chapter was a mess. Once again a new setting that was hardly connected to the rest of the game and the story and a lot of pointless pixel hunting and trial-and-error-puzzles was involved. Which you often had to repeat, because events have to be triggered by obscure dialogue or visiting certain screens again.

I'm glad the game is over. The last one in the series is supposed to be much better. But I don't feel like playing it soon. Maybe when it shows up in the respective time travel thread.

Congrats!

If you're "tired" from playing Runaway 2, I guess it's better to leave the franchise for a while. Let it rest and play something different.
Greetings time travelers! I'm well overdue for an update on my 2006 travels.

I had a lot of fun replaying The Blackwell Legacy. The game definitely has some issues, and I forgot that you never switch between controlling Rosangela and Joey in this game which is one of the best parts of the later games. But the story and side characters are great and it does a good job setting up the dynamic between the main characters. That poor neighbor's dog though... and Joey can't help himself from spooking it out.

I also started playing Call of Juarez and made it about a third of the way through, but the game is just so scripted. It feels like a console game, I was surprised it was initially a PC only release. Switching between the two characters is also tedious because the aspects that make them unique are also the most janky controls-wise. Is it worth finishing or should I just skip to later games in the series?

Yeah, it's a very janky game. As for being worth finishing it, well that depends on what you feel about it. Are you liking the story and want to see it through, even thought you have to put up with the jankiness of the gameplay? Or are you so tedious of it that you cannot play it anymore?

The second game in th series is a prequel, focusing on Ray and how he became who he is. It's a better game overall, although still retains some of the jankiness.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger has no relation to either game.
