^throws a curveball answer to Hoojah: When it was suggested to me, I replaced MBR/BIOS partitioning and booting with GPT/UEFI. It came in handy that I had a laptop ready to google how to fully replace the boot partition after I used a bash command to changed MBR to GPT.
What I would do if it was forced ... I don't know really. Go out on the street and protest?
