blakstar: My guess would be D.

Searching for a single letter might pose a problem! :-)

EDIT: And also fits in with Judas' alliteration.
I think you've got it. Warp, the developer of D, has appeared on the company list.

I wonder if D is actually a good game, haven't read all that much about it.

Wait WHAT? When did that appear on the list?

Rented it long ago on Playstation 1. A cinematic puzzle adventure game with a time limit to beat it. Never got further than the first couple rooms, but then again I suck at those type of games. Would love to have another shot at it :P

So I wonder if it will be the PS1 emulated version like those others that one company was releasing on Steam or the DOS version?

During the last two hours.

A time limit in a puzzle adventure game? O_o

From MobyGames:

"D is a puzzle game requiring Laura to solve esoteric inventory puzzles on a very strict time limit. Each of the game's four discs must be completed in about thirty minutes each, and saving is not an option. The time is kept track of using Laura's pocket watch. The pocket watch can also be used to supply hints for puzzles, but after three uses the glass will shatter and it will stop working. The game also has multiple endings."

It would be nice to be right at last!

D was the first game that popped into my head when I saw the hint, but later had sneaking suspicions that it might have been too obvious.

So what has "salve" got to do with this game? I can see the correlation with the other hints though

SALVE has nothing to do with D. It was the hint for Caesar IV.

The new hint is here.

How annoying, I had already moved onto E.

Whoops, my bad, thanks for telling me though

No problem. Sometimes the hints are easy to miss. :-)

Ah, another Acclaim-published game. Looks like a trip! ;) I wonder if the publisher is Night Dive or somebody else.

DOS version I'd imagine. I'm not sure GOG wants to deal with the potential backlash of using a PS emulator (unless there *are* legal ones available to use).

Probably that sketchy publisher that released those other PS1 emulated games on Steam assuming it's the PS1 version and not the DOS version: http://www.consoleclassics.co/?games=d

http://store.steampowered.com/search/?publisher=Console%20Classics

Heh, we'll see I guess. I figured GOG might have more input/quality control this time, since it's on their own store.
