karnak1: I think Judas wouldn't return to this thread unless it's something big.
I suspect the original X-Com trilogy and maybe that X-Com space-combat simulator spin-off.
Not sure I'd describe the original X-Com trilogy as being big... unless it means 2K is on-board, and will be bringing other stuff over, as well.

For X-Com to come, 2K would have to come as well. So it will be big.
I do fear that we'll be waiting a bit more though, so we can celebrate 2K games on GOG with 2K Games on GOG.

You hear that PR department? I want my cut if you do this!

Wow, it would be a shock if GOG actually got 2K Games, maybe a...Bioshock!

It'd be big in my book because the games have over 30,000 votes on the GOG wishlist.

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=x-com&order=votes_total

I do fear that sales would be pretty low, though, since the games have already been Humble Bundle'd.

JudasIscariot: Or I know that what I am hinting at is actually going to arrive :)
That's exactly what someone who wants to keep X-Com a surprise would say!

In all seriousness though, it's best that we all try to manage our expectations. Many hints can be seen as pointing towards huge releases (they are intentionally vague, after all) and assuming every hint must be a long-awaited game only leads to disappointment.

That said, I'll throw my guess at Fallout 3. It has an alien-themed expansion, right? I think? All of the reasonable guesses I can think of have already been made.

JogsterXL: Destroy All Humans!
Damn, this is exactly what came to mind when I saw the pics, though I couldn't remember what it was called.

X-Com would be nice (more because it would mean Take2 are on board then anything else) but I kind of think that's not likely... but who knows.

Edit: Also nice to see a new hint again :)

Nothing to see here :P

Will we need to wait long for this one to resolve Judas? (this week hopefully)
The more you (general) ask about the waiting, the further I push this back :P
Ok, time to plug a few space adventure games that could fit the hint, even if they won't. Because I can.

Ringworld: Revenge Of The Patriarch (1992) - 3rd Person, Tsunami Media
Chewy: Esc from F5 (1995) - 3rd Person, New Generation Sofware
Star Trek The Next Generation: A Final Unity (1995) - 3rd Person, Spectrum Holobyte
Orion Burger (1996) - 3rd Person, Sanctuary Woods
Alien Incident (1996) - 3rd Person, Housemarque / Gametek
Stupid Invaders (2000) - 3rd Person, Xilam
The Immortals Of Terra: A Perry Rhodan Adventure (2008) - 3rd Person, 3D-IO Games

I've been wating for the original X-Com trilogy ever since I've a GOG account.
I must confess that Xenonauts didn't quite cut it for me. The "losing" continents to aliens part seemed too much unrealistic.

Would Star Trek: Bridge Commander count? :P
