But I'll try anyways, perhaps someone here will know?

Back in the early to mid-90's, I owned two VHS tapes that were basically audio-visual tech demos by demosceners. The problem is I cannot for the life of me remember who the demogroup was or what the VHS' were called.

The cover to one was purple, had an early 3D CGI human face on it I believe, the other VHS cover was peach or tan I believe. Anyways, does anybody possibly know where I might be able to view a list of 90's demogroups? Or on the off chance know what the hell I'm talking about?

You might find something like that on http://www.pouet.net/, although the search options aren't fantastic.

Edit:
Hmm... Because someone else once asked a question very similar to yours, the answer to his question might be the answer to yours as well. Could one of the tapes you're thinking of have been Global Trash 2 by The Silents?

I actually just said screw it and called my father up, since he's the one who gave them to me in the first place. After a bit of thinking he remembered the name to both, which shocked me because I didn't think he'd even know what the hell I was talking about.

The Magic Egg and Horizons by Edward Garrick. Not exactly a demoscener I suppose but it is pretty much a computer graphics montage with music put to it.

Unfortunately, this is one of those things that even the internet seems to know next to nothing about. Nothing on Amazon, ebay, Youtube, just nothing. If my father backed them up to DVD like he says he might have, I may just upload them somewhere since it seems time has forgotten them almost completely anyway.

I'll mark your post as the solution anyways however because you just gave me http://www.pouet.net/ and this peaks my interests.

Ah, well thanks then :-)

And yes, http://www.pouet.net is a great repository of demoscene information.

Edit:
IMDB does seem to know a little bit about him and those two productions. It's not much, but it's there.
