Satisfying!

We're testing out an up-and-coming feature in GOG Galaxy: Achievement Notifications that will be part of the game overlay in the future, and <span class="bold">The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt</span> is our playground!

You too can experience that satisfying feeling of scoring a new achievement in GOG Galaxy, but beware - it's a Beta feature that's still being tested. On you.

November 12 - Update:
To enable your Achievement Notifications, first make sure that you have claimed and installed the 16 Free DLC pack. You should now see a new Game Overlay setting in the client (enabled by default), use this toggle to enable or disable the feature.
If you don't see your notifications - make sure that the feature was enabled for you automatically, or simply try turning it off and on again.

Enjoy the new (and easier to use) Achievement Notifications in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt!
My achievements were also bugged, but now they work with the latest Witcher 3 patch and latest Galaxy build. Or at-least 2 that I had unlocked but never unlocked in Galaxy finally unlocked for me when I loaded my save. Will try to unlock more and see what happens now.
After this patch I can't run my witcher 3 with steam overlay.
I have GoG version of the game but I play it with steam for many purposes.
I rolled back the patch and now it works again.
Such a shame I can't use both.

Several hours later I'm getting some achievements notifications more than once..
Do I have to choose "overlay", or is "default" just as good?

mike_cesara: I'm about 40 hours in the game and some achievements already unlocked. Even more since I've loaded friend's save.. I think a reset function would be very helpful : )
Already updated to beta channel, may test it as long as overlay not going to hit my poor performance. Could you reset my achievements on server side?

edit:
btw. Please, stop updating xinput1_3.dll, it's a bit annoying since I'm using x360ce to make the game work with my gamepad. And I guess I'm not the only one..

II don't know. For me, it consistently does not work. I realize this is beta but I've tried two achievements so far and none of them trigger (the new "Can Quit Anytime I Want" is simple to attempt).
Running Galaxy 1.1.2 and W3 1.08.4-game overlay
This is an welcome feature and is working fine here (Galaxy 1.1.2 beta, W3 1.08.4).

However, it brings a couple incompatibilities to the table:

1st is file xinput1_3.dll - fixable by replacing the file; achievement notification works anyways

2nd is file dxgi.dll for the Nexus community mods ReShade, SweetFX and MasterEffect - fixable by using d3d11.dll instead of dxgi.dll

This is indeed a welcome feature, despite the few problems we have with achievements on Witcher 3.

As feedback on the notification system itself, I find it somehow too big: when the overlay notify a new achievement, the whole text+effect takes quite a lot of the screen I feel - though we can still see what happens, so it is not a big trouble

Simple comment on the added feature, rather than complain on another point.
I am sure that i did everything as instructed but the notifications are no-go for me as well as that the new achievs just do not work - killed more than 3 people with their arrows and nothing...
