It lacks the information that are relevant for my purchase decisions (genre, release date, GOG score) though :P
Thanks GOG for the free game, Full Throttle Remastered !

But it provides some unique information - previous sale and historical data unavailable elsewhere for such a long time period. I personally use 4-5 methods/tools to browse the sale and the only one I really dislike is GOG itself. It has more limitations than features and is terribly unresponsive on mobile.

..which would be possible with some VLOOKUP. You could even link your personal must-have-ratings for each title.
There is nothing better than RWarehalls spreadsheet ;-)

On the second thought: genre etc could even be imported via the gog-api and some vba...

While that is true, I'm not that much of a penny-pincher that it would be relevant for me. Paying 15%-30% more for a game isn't that bad.

My knowledge doesn't extend far in that direction to be able to make any use of those possibilities.
I can apparently only view prices in USD in Firefox, but I can use AUD in Chrome. Weird...
Thank you GOG!

Sure, that makes sense. But with huge backlog and very limited time resources I'm trying to avoid purchases at all and decide to buy only on really deep discounts.
I agree for higher price (or buying more than once) only in case of developers I want to support, which is quite rare, because devs of my favorite games are already dead.

Sarang: I really hope one of these flash sales includes KOFXIII, crossing my fingers here.

Lucumo: What about '98 ULTIMATE MATCH FINAL EDITION though?
I love the HD sprites though. I don't know if I'll EVER buy KOFXIV.

Oh and the OST included in the console release was fantastic.

Hm, I should do that as well, considering my backlog consists of 1000+ games. And yep, I like to support developers too, when it's possible. And just like you, most of the studios I really liked are defunct now. They didn't survive the very late 90s, early-mid 00s.
(Currently looking at Black Moon Chronicles, seems like they still haven't fixed the FMV which is a shame and as such a no buy.)

Also, somehow everything and their mother is on sale. I'm just now almost finishing the 80% discounts.

Same here, sprites really are the best. (That's why I'm also gunning for XIII.) Shame about the awful DotEmu ports of the other SNK games though.

I'm thinking about releasing an HD fighter like "Aquapazza" based off a show but I don't draw well.

That would have legal consequences if you wanted to sell it. And yeah, how well it's drawn is probably the second most important thing after the mechanics.
I've noticed to my great joy that list view is back as an option when browsing the store! Oh, and I've got a GOG version of Full Throttle to boot! Now if we could just get more filters and sort options...

Anyway, I trust that the daily deals will be for games that currently aren't on sale, and not a steeper discount for already discounted games? It really sucks to buy a game for say 50% off only to see it pop up as a daily sale for 75% off a day later (I have some bad memories from old Steam sales. But lets not go there. I'm in my happy place, I'm in my happy place, I'm in my happy place).
