Hey Judas,

can you just point the tech guys to the Downloader/Galaxy Download problem with the recent DEFCON update?

See that discussion for reference...

Thanks!

Yep, that's great. It took a long time for GOG to add it :)

More Linux versions is always nice. Now let's see how long it takes before the Mac/Linux versions of Terraria are released/made available.

Let's hope they will be released this month like the devs implied. (http://terraria.org/news) :)

Thanks, I was wondering what this one was about. Also made me realize that you can lookup changelogs via your library/shelf now. Cheers².

Ganni1987: Legend of Grimrock for Linux has been updated:
hmm, no updated deb package?
is it just my imagination or is there a trend recently to not provide a deb package anymore?
grimrock, ksp, to the moon, botanicula -> all just tar archives

Can't say I remember if there was a deb package or not for this game. GOG hasn't been providing deb packages for many games for a while now.

I prefer tarballs myself as it gives me more control of the contents and it's much easier to pack than debs.

grimrock and KSP had .deb files before.

the only reason i prefer those and not the tarballs is that the contents is compressed with xz instead of gzip which GOG is using for the tarballs.
extracting .debs is pretty straightforward, so I find just storing the .deb more convenient than repacking the tarball with xz.

Yeah, I'm hoping GOG will continue to support .deb files since they are easier to install on Debian-based distros.
@Judas: Any ETA on Terraria update 1.3.0.5?

Not that much easier. The deb just unpacks the game to "/opt/GOG Games" and then runs start.sh with the undocumented --install-deb option.

(And you can uninstall it by running start.sh with the --uninstall option and then deleting the game folder)
