So I have to reinstall the game ?

If you have already it installed it and don't want to redownload/reinstall it, you can just run the game's launcher and you should find an option to autoupdate it.

HereForTheBeer: No problem - the forum members can handle it. An annoyance, sure, but it's a minor one that is easily dealt with.
avatar
JaqFrost: Yes, the forum members can handle it, but should they really have to? It seems forum volunteers are picking up most of the slack for all kinds of things and they are not the people making money selling these games.
I can't disagree with this

MarkoH01: Yes, everytime somebody has access to a changelog which has not been added to the subforum of the game he/she will make this entry. This is a workaround until GOG finally realizes that there is abolutely NO reason to not include changelogs in the subforum - until they realize that they abandon potential customers with this politic because some potential customers might not be sure if a specific bug has already been fixed here on GOG. It's so simple to understand why this would help to sell more but because of reasons I cannot understand GOG simply does not seem to see this.
or this, but it's pretty easy to do this thing that will help other forum members. So instead of doing without, I'll take a couple minutes (when I notice one of my titles has updated) to take care of it in case gOg themselves don't.

But I do understand why folks aren't thrilled with the change. Anyway, back to the updates.

What kind of menu was it, that the great Geralt of Rivia would wet his clothes at the mere sight of it?

Not back yet. Just took a peek. Back tomorrow.
And still no Door Kickers 1.07 update. KillHouse Games has uploaded the patch last week, what's taking GOG so long? https://twitter.com/inthekillhouse/status/608264778818191360

I wish Judas was here, it's very hard to get any attention by the blue guys with the support being totally overloaded. :(

Notification System

I am a fan of gog.com from the very beginning. Most games I bought, are games I already own (physical copy). The ~ 300 games are mainly bought directly after the release at gog.com. Over 7 years I relied on the flag-based notification system (yes, I can see you laughing). I checked >every< flag and downloaded if necessary, even at times where finding out what this flag was about took my evening (comparing file sizes; worst case: an update for a not-relevant-to-me OS). Every such incident and other occasions (= I realized several times that my game version was outdated) led to the search for a solution, which I found in this forum, months ago.

Recently I took the time to check >all< 300 games for updates. Around 1/3 was outdated (cf. attached picture), even though I kept track of changes since I found this forum. The Galaxy Client made the downloads painful, because I get unexplained disruptions (without resume feature) and corrupted files (additionally I have no bandwidth limitation). As a http download for hundreds of Gigabytes was no option, I had to reinstall the (good old) gog.com downloader. With the New Account System it is a “real joy” to navigate to the links for the gog.com downloader: Why make it easy, if you could “Try GOG Galaxy”?

I thought the last seven years were a complete fail in terms of keeping my collection up to date and it cannot get worse. The new notification system with the change logs raised my hope. I am thankful for this feature! But it got worse - in the recent times there are completely no flags (even for “The Game”). This combined with the well-deserved vacation of >mrkgnao< makes me feel abandoned.

In case >mrkgnao< is forced or decides to stop keeping us up to date, we are all lost. You will end up like me with decades old installers, while sitting in “Vault 13”.
