JudasIscariot: Both Blackguards games now have German manuals :)
I'm sorry to address you this way, Judas, as I know this is not GOG's fault, but... could you staff members please talk with Deadalic about the long awaited 1.6 patch?
This problem is *very* nasty, and after months it should be time to address it, especially considering that daedalic released the patch on August.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the 1.6 patch is for the first Blackguards.

Dungeon Keeper 2 works for me too with a Nvidia GTX 560 and latest drivers (347.52), so why do the requirements say you need an older driver?

I have to say, despite all the wonderful work that Judas and the community are doing in this regard, the current update system still is a real pain in the neck, far from convenient and user-friendly, and instead of rejoicing whenever I see a game just got updated, I only groan, because it's such a hassle to find out what has changed, especially if there are several updates and you don't check them right away. :(

It would be so much more convenient if there were "New" flags next to the updated items, too, not just the games,* and if there was a way to remove update notifications manually and exclude certain types of updates from being flagged (e.g. MAC updates for a sworn PC user etc.).

* Btw, I seem to remember it was different in the past, were there actually "New" flags on the updated items before, or is my memory deceiving me?

Geralt_of_Rivia: Dungeon Keeper.
From what I can tell, it either did not work properly in our test lab and/or we've had support tickets with those drivers listed and the game not working. While the drivers may work for you and DoctorGOGgles, we can't afford to gamble that they will work for the majority of our user base and, thus, we have that notice.

You do realize that support for the GTX 900 series graphics cards only started with driver version 344.11. You can't even install 337.88 or older on those cards, so everybody with a GTX 960, 970 or 980 either won't buy the game from GOG or won't receive support, because they don't meet the requirements.

My guess is, that a single version of the driver between 337.88 and the current 347.52 had a bug and made problems with DK2 and it was fixed by Nvidia in the current 347.52 (or even earlier). I suggest you retest the game.

Your guess could be correct but the problem could also only surface on specific hardware/driver combinations. That's why I was curious about details. I thought GOG would know details if they write something like this in the requirements.

@Judas: If new problems show up with a game because of new drivers the game should go to your reverse engineering wizards to fix the problems instead of restricting the game to old drivers. As Doc pointed out installing old drivers often isn't an option on up to date systems. A game that is restricted to old drivers is by definition unfit to run on modern systems.

Yes, that's the way it used to be. I don't know why they removed this functionality, unless the change to the Galaxy framework doesn't (yet) support individual item flagging. But I've been agitating for GOG to bring it back. The current state is much less useful for folks with large collections.

It should also be considered that - as useful as I hope the Galaxy client to become - it's advertised as optional, and the decision by GOG users not to use it should not result in a service worse than before its introduction.
