Forgive me, but I wonder why it conveniently happened over the weekend.
And even if it's unrelated to the current promo, it certainly was impeccably good timing for GOG - just look how I'm the only one still bothered by it.

I guess nth I (we) say will change the way both pubs and GOG handle things.

i'm felt insulted by the publisher request.... the game (classic / deluxe edition) was advertised with some contents, and now the FLAC soundtrack is no more avaible...

and yeah the coincidence is too good....

Retroactively pulling purchased content so that you can turn into another revenue stream is a new low. It cements all the nasty stuff I've heard about your business practices lately. And it certainly ensures I won't be giving you any of my money.

Well, apparently being a backer is not good enough to net you the lossless format.
The most insulting part is the weekend request - inXile knows only too well that weekends are slow on the Internet, so took advantage of it.

And we're doing them a big favour discussing their stunt in this thread - it should be in the Release Thread where their representatives show up from time to time. I already made a post there, but people don't seem to care. :(


As I said, go post this in the Release thread where there's a chance a representative may read it.

If they do read it, it will only be to spin it. Abundantly clear that they don't give a toss about their customers, including their backers.

Well , actually i wasn't a backer.

i just preodered one day before release.

i checked the kickstarter page , they didn't mentionned in which format the soundtrack will be avaible through digital retailers.

the only thing i guessed it's the highest tiers which include physical goods , so if you got a boxed copy, you "maybe" would have the "right" to get a CD whith the soundtrack. But those tiers weren't cheap....

If i compare this to Divinity Original Sin (this time i was a backer); InXile looks more greedy

There's also the possiblity the game didn't sell pretty well so far, but as said Sinistar it's a pretty low move :|

I feel quite lucky to have the FLAC soundtrack on my HDD already but that's not a nice way to remove it. Keeping dead quiet? Humbug!

If I decided to contact either one, I certainly wouldn't do via PM, the point is to shed more public light to the situation, not that it would make any difference as IAmSinistar said.

Good for you that stunts like this don't bother you, I guess.

Now, don't put words in my mouth. It's not that I don't find it bad, but that it doesn't personally affect me as I don't have the game.
