I already confirmed what Grargar said and was able to backup the soundtrack before GOG realizes that they did not remove it from both versions ... yet.

* All Power circles value have been increased. Their interest was too weak because they don't allow to launch a special attack. Elon's square was Power (50) and is now Power (200).
* Basic attacks get bigger damage to grant the player a more interesting choice between specials and basic attacks, increased from 50 to 100.
* Defense value is increased from 50 to 140 (irreducible damage keep unchanged).
* 0 Defense value for a character making a counter-attack.
* Dissonance bonus damage increased from 35 - 75 to 75 - 125.
* Dissonance explosion damage increased from 9 - 12 with +95% per dissonance circle to 13 - 18 with +180% per circle (fast explosions were painful because they cancel the possibility to launch a special capacity, now they will deal less damage than it should, it's balanced with higher damage with a lot of circles).

* Removing or Extracting mods from items via Dreamcaster can now cost more than 1 Orb of Reverie. The cost scales up based on the strength of the magic mod and the rank of the item. Legendary items and Casino/Nightmare mods will also nudge up the overall cost (max of 6 orbs).
* Reduced spawn rate of Elixirs in the casino shop
* Corral monsters will no longer enjoy Monster Chow if they are at a certain Happiness level.

Now, I wonder - does the track play somewhere in the game itself, and if yes, will it also be removed?

I have no doubt about that. Thing is, Witcher 3 GOTY uses a separate id from the base version, which means that a change in one version's downloadables won't affect the other. Seems that the one responsible for uploading the slimmed-down soundtrack forgot about this little detail.
