Thiev: Update is for people who downloaded the game at some point and now don't want to redownload the whole installer once again.

bevinator: My installer version is apparently 1.0.1.12, (instead of 1.0.0.something) and thus the update fails. Several other folks on the DD forum have had the same issue. When running the program, I just get an "incompatible version" error and nothing happens.
Edit: I was under the wrong impression, please ignore this post :D

I would think the patch should take the install from 1.0.0 (1.0.1.12) to 1.0.2.13...

EDIT: Wait, wasn't this update just to add other languages for the game?

JudasIscariot: IIRC, that would mean you have the latest version of the game and there is no need to apply the update. I would think the reason you and a few other people are getting an incompatible version is that the patch is trying to patch something that's already ...patched :D At least that's my initial theory based on my own experience :D
My DD installer is 18 months old, though. I downloaded it during the Witcher 2 preorder promo. It claims to be 1.0.1.12, while the updater is 1.0.2.13.

The program runs, says "Updating..." with the progress bar, and then gives the error after the progress bar reaches the end. "Installed version is not compatible with the patch," apparently.
(Running as administrator does the exact same thing, btw.)

The means update was actually installed (You should version 1.061 in main menu). Error message is caused by few files that differ from fresh install, probably settings etc.

Currently patches are tested on fresh installs. We have few changes to that system planned ( in the unspecified near future ;) ) But for now I agree that might be a bit misleading.

I love the new button that lets you click and see what updates are new. However, that list is cleared once you view them. Is there a way to add a sort by most recently updated? (something that will last for future reference).

Does anyone know what the final unlocks were for the Divinity promo? I believe it was video (5K), game demo (10K), and another video (20K). I currently see the demo and one video in my game section.

By coincidence I discovered today that a tech demo and several language packs have been added to Beyond Divinity. I don't think I got an update message for it, or in any case, these indicators were removed way too soon, even if I didn't acknowledge and download any of the new stuff yet. Isn't there a way to track what files have been downloaded already? All the new additions are awesome, but it's still difficult to keep track of them, even with the new notification system ...
