Have you played Season 2 of the Walking Dead game? My god.
I cringed when they announced a season 3.

My dad actually kept watching after I quit. Told me it got a bit better.
I refuse to go back at this time though. I just... can't.

Me and my wife originally liked TWD and always watched it together, but we stopped watching after... not sure, was it the fourth season? Or fifth? Not sure which season they are even showing at the moment.

All seasons started to feel somewhat similar. They find out about some possible haven where they could finally live completely safe from the zombies, or even a cure for zombies for good... but in the end it always turns out to be something else, or doesn't exist, or whatever.

Also the seasons seemed to be always constructed so that the beginning and end of the season were made very exciting with lots of action... and everything between them was just some soap opera drama. Meh.

It just seemed yet another TV series with no real direction, whether it is really going to end, ever. Same like Lost or 4400 or whatever there were. Meh meh MEEEEEEEEEHHH!!!!!

That reminds me that I should continue watching Farscape, they felt fairly interesting. Game of Thrones is also on hold, I kinda dislike it too, maybe partly for similar reasons as TWD. Oh and that darn True Blood, we actually used to watch that before jumping to TWD, but similarly lost interest to it as it just kept going and going and going...

I prefer movies, at least I know they will reach some kind of conclusion, usually.

I tried watching Game of Thrones 3 different times.
The second season was just so boring that it made me quit watching every time. :(

Seasons 1 and 2 were really the ones that had any relevance, imo. And those were Lori's time to shine. Days of our Zombie Lives soap opera stuff there.

Agreed. And that is the problem with tv shows. As soon as one becomes a hit, they look for ways to lengthen it and the story also suffers because of that. It becomes about how to maximize dollars.
The other problem with TWD is it tries to outsmart itself too often and ends up failing everytime.

Unfortunately in order for me to have a reasonable discussion about how horrible I thought it was I'd have to re-watch it so I could articulate better by giving examples/having evidence, and there's no way that's going to happen. I do remember thinking EVERY SINGLE decision that was made (by the writers, what they decided to do with the setup/plot/character decisions+motivations) made absolutely no sense whatsoever on top of being horribly written. Something like everything that happened made me keep repeating to myself "OMG, that is a stupid decision. OMG, another really really stupid decision. OMG, these people are fucking STUPID, they all deserve to die and what his happening doesn't even make ANY sense even within its own context." etc.! There was no logic to anything and just seemed to be written out of their asses to create drama and shock just to create drama and shock (contrived and arbitrary!), but again, I don't remember details because it has left my brain for the most part (thankfully.)

I gave up on Game of Thrones after 6 episodes I thought it was so bad, also agree that Lost and The 4400 dropped their respective balls.

Farscape is one of my favorite shows of all time. It has an acquired taste and a different "feel" to it than anything else I've seen, so it might not be immediately enjoyable because of unfamiliarity, but, it's quite excellent.

I also usually prefer movies but have found some good TV here and there that is worth watching. There was a point (around 2008?) that I had barely watched any TV (Six Feet Under was it, and older stuff) in MANY MANY YEARS, and then I was told I should really have watched The West Wing (blah, politics, I had no interest, but after repeat high recommendations, I gave it a try.) It made me go "ummm, what else has been made that I've missed?!" which wasn't a lot, but there were some things.
