deja65: Guys, sorry for being inactive, but i'm really busy with college ;), and i just fly over the forums too fast.If it ain't a problem, Zeo can assign me randomly to a workgroup,or something else... *shrug*.Cheers

Do you think you'll be too inactive to participate in the game (the thing can last up to a month at times)?
If so, I could find someone else to take your spot.

I guess it would be unfair if i would just sit idle in this investigation ;),If you dont mind, you can pick somebody else and put him on my spot, and next time i will notify you guys when i am about to join.
P.S I will also return the rented MG42,and give it to Tauto for safe keeping ;).Cheers

I actually never downrep people based on rep purely.I see what the alt's did to your rep, and it is really worrysome that there are people wasting oxygen on downrepping random people on the GOG forums.Sad,but true. You always get a +1 rep from me,because you are the one and only(legit) Tauto left in the nature ;),and i find that awesome. That were my weird two cents.Cheers

Thanks but not necessary to + me:)
After listening to the detectives squabble for a while, the Puzzlemaster looked as his watch.
"Jiminy crickit! Come ON, people! We're burnin' daylight!", he screamed.
"Look, I don't care about your methods, just GET THE SEARCHES DONE! G'WAN! GO!"
"Wait, what are YOU going to do while we're gone?", detective Wald asked.
"I'm...uh...going to think about the case. I need time to work my brain on it, y'know.", the Puzzlemaster responded, closing the bagel drawer he had just opened.

The detectives all scrambled out the door and set off on their searches. Meanwhile, Zeogold put his feet on his desk, checked around nervously for both lurking Katts and Djesteres, then happily munched on a cheese bagel.

"I've already got this case figured out," ZFR said, lighting a cigarette. "The only question if Bler's got a better theory, which I doubt."
"Well, I'd be able to make one if you'd stop lighting my hat on fire!", yelled the smurf.
Detective Hendra removed Bler from ZFR's fingers and extinguished the flaming Phrygian cap, while Detective Olf affixed a tiny fedora to his head.
"Come, friends!", shouted Detective Bow. "Let us ROCK this search...eh?"
"Seriously? You had to include the Canadian 'eh' stereotype?", asked Ashwald.
"Well, I can't help it. It's in my nature."
"Says who? Aren't you like any other individual?"
"It's just a Canadian thing."
"You say that, but...I dunno. It feels almost as if everything we say right after we leave Zeogold's office is controlled by some other being who's just inserting words into our mouths and causing us to do things we normally wouldn't, using us as some sort of caricatures, puppets in his ridiculous game of-"
At this point, defying all rules of physics, Ashwald somehow managed to kick himself in his own behind. Everyone then decided it was best they get on their way. In the meantime, Skeletonbow played a song, which may or may not be useful to the case in some way and possibly inserted to give a clue or potentially mislead or goodness knows what. The question that SHOULD be asked is how he played an electric guitar without any amps or even so much as an outlet around, but instead we'll ask what the meaning of "Mystery Trip" could be.

Skeletonbow's song for today is:
Ride Captain Ride, by Blues Image (1970)

Night falls. All is dark in the office of the Puzzlemaster, but if anyone looked in the window, they'd see a figure sitting at a desk pensively, with its fingers together, waiting, wondering, pondering the details of a great mystery.
The next day was a bright and sunny one.
The detectives all filed into the Puzzlemaster's office.
"Alright, let's hear what y'all found. Max, any word from Leroy?"
"Well, I TRIED to interrogate him, but he was not home."
"..."
"I decided to visit the local sausage store instead. You Americans do not sell weisswurst here?! Unbelievable!"
"Max. You're supposed to LOOK for him, Max. Not just knock on his door and leave if he ain't home."
"Oh? In Germany, we only interrogate when given a sufficient quantity of weisswurst, leberk-"
"Nevermind, Max. *sigh*....Let's look to somebody who was ACTUALLY productive...ZFR, did you and Skeletonbow find anything at the crime scene?"
"You mean anyONE."
"Somebody was lurking on the premises? I mean, like, besides Sergeant Zeagold?"
"Yeah, there's this shadowy figure that keeps following Detective Bow around. The shape and size almost reminds me of a...jester?"
"I'm telling you, man! He wanted to do a guitar and lute duel!"
"No, no, I'm pretty sure he hasn't got the +5 DEF Advanced Jester Hat for that yet...So, did you guys find anything else at the crime scene?"
"Uh...well, we kind of...just followed the jester around."
"..."
".....you wanna hear me do an Irish song? ZFR taught me this neat riff that-"
"Later, Detective Bow. Let's get some info from some people who've ACTUALLY had decent experience in the past with proper procedure. Deja, could you- ...wait, where is he?!"
Everyone looked around, but sure enough, Deja was nowhere to be found.
"Criminy. Well, Officer Sci...what'd you do?"
"Well, I heard that the guys searching the bedroom needed help, but then the lights went out and it got...weird."
"What do you mean by 'weird'?"
"Hey!", Detective Wald piped up. "I thought flickering the lights on and off while making yodeling noises might be FUN! Excuse me for trying to have a little excitement!"
"Where was Bler at the time?"
"He went missing," explained Detective Olf, "and he won't tell us where he was. All he does is explain some weird delusion about a really frightening monster and a lightning storm. Now he won't come out of my pocket."
"And when we got through, I found a note in MY pocket", said Officer Sci. "All of the guys deny putting it there, and it reads so creepily!"
The Puzzlemaster took the note she placed on his desk. Most of it was smudged, but he read the visible parts aloud:

"My dearest,
I know that. ..... Each moment away from you is torture. ..... the shadows is....tease of happiness....we can give each other.....I trust you......Neither one of us wants....I can barely contain myself....to speed things along, let me know.
Signed,
Your Adoring Slave"

"See what I mean? It's got giggety written all over it!"
"Looks more like ink to me."
"That's not what I meant!"
"Just yankin' your chain there. I think I might be able to figure out what used to be written with these smudges, I'll just need some help."
"Ugh. Anyways, I left those guys and went to go help look for Mike's video instead."
"How did that go? I remember Deja saying something about going in that direction before he left, but given that he's a bit trigger-happy, I was slightly concerned."
"We thought about that too," answered Kusumahendra. "Therefore, we decided to use a very peaceful approach."
"As we say in Germany, you can catch more flies with beer than you can with vinegar!', chimed in Privatdetektiv Goodalt.
"I don't think that's how it- ...nevermind. Detective Hendra, what'd you guys do?"
"Well, Goodalt served him a drink while me and Fantas made casual conversation. We assured him of the situation and put him rather at ease. He easily gave up the video tape. Here you go."
The Puzzlemaster took the tape and inserted it into the VHS player on his desk.
"You still have one of those? Seriously?"
"Shut up and watch the video."

On the video, Markus is speaking to the camera when eh sees something and stops, frightened. A shot rings out. He screams, grabbing his lower left leg. Turning now, the camera fixes on a masked figure standing by a rock and dressed in camouflage fatigues. It's wearing gloves and pointing a gun. The figure hesitates, as if confused or indecisive, then turns and runs off. The camera returns to Markus holding his leg. A small patch of blood oozes through his fingers. The camera is switched off.

"Hm. Interesting. Well, looks like we've learned all we can for now. I'll get working checking on the legitimacy of that note, and if anybody wants to help me, they can. I could certainly use the assistance. Meanwhile, you guys'd better get searching again and see what else you can dig up. I have no idea what happened to Deja, so I'll look into that too."

DAY 2 BEGINS NOW!

You technically can't hold me responsible for that. These detectives are working on their own. You're barkin' up the wrong tree, pal.
