I'm sure they had it just lying around fully patched and licenses and such sorted out, but they were waiting for a random forum post before releasing it.

It might not be that easy. The Punisher is a Marvel character. Disney is on board, but the game was published by THQ who are no longer exist. And it was probably licensed, so the license might have been expired after ten years (the game was released in 2005). But of course I don't know for sure.

No, no, I think they are waiting for someone to donate a copy for them. We could have all the games in the world here, if only people showed a little generosity and sent GOG some discs.
