People are complaining about thing that are not working as intended.
There is a clear FAQ about the pinata system and for many people something has not worked as it was described.
GoG has already confirmed these issues a few posts before.
Did you read my post?? I'm not talking about people with issues. But people who gamble, "lose", and whine.

As you didn't know which game you were going to get how on earth would you know if your system was compatible or not?
Too bad that my system can run both of these games just fine. :D. That's okay, though, it's just I was curious to try this pinata. Got bad luck with such promotion on G2A once, and never do that again since. So I'll never do this kind of thing again, period. Her Story seems interesting, I'll give it a try later...

The discounts also look good. Nice to see the Metro series on discount again, was looking forward to grab those games.

Go to the front page of GOG.
Select Store > On sale now > Browse all games on sale now.

You'll see pretty much the same games that you might win via pinatas - the older ones cost the same as a pinata, some new games cost 2-6 pinatas, so if you are looking to buy a specific game, you are better off just buying that instead of gambling and "winning" 6 games you'll not even download instead of buying the one you will PLAY.

I'd also like to draw everyone's attention (time to pay me GOG!) to today's super-cool releases:

Hm, it seems I cannot buy any Piñata. I move it to my cart - which says 1 - when I click on my cart, there's one item without description. When trying to check out the item is gone and my cart is empty.

I changed language and currency - nothing did solve this. Is there any solution?

I am sorry, if it has been mentioned in the 17 pages - I didn not through all of them.. :)

same thing happened to me. how are they gonna charge you $3 and give you a game they're charging $2.99 for?! fool me once shame on you, they won't fool me a 2nd time though

Yeah, I've looked through that list, but I prefer the usual weekly sale list, which shows the genre of each game. On the main page, it lists a few basic genres, but it's not specific enough for me, and I don't want to have to look at the store page for every single game that's on sale. For example, the action genre encompasses everything from shooters to some platformers. I don't care for platformers, but I'm a big fan of shooters.

Gah, not sure how to feel right now. I'm a real sucker for little gambles like this and enjoy them no matter whether I hit the jackpot (which I never do :D) or not. I'm one of those crazy "Hey, I didn't want this, but I won it at $5 off, so I'm happy"-guys.

I even rather enjoy that I got two games that I already own on Steam (because I prefer to have my games in the GOG library).

But for me the fun is a little bit spoiled by the fact that the two games from my wishlist I got are going for $2.99 anyway and none of the others sell for more than $4.

I wasn't expecting to actually make a deal with this (and am actually quite happy with 4 of the 5 games), but spending $15 to receive games I could have just bought for $17 feels a bit lackluster.

For future reference, here's a few ways surprise bags could be a bit more enjoyable to participants:

1) Don't offer surprise bags at a set price, but rather on a "Buy something at $5 or more to receive one Piñata" base. I can't speak for others, but I myself tend to WAY overspend on offers like that, while the Piñata fun is over for me at a mere $15.

2) Don't include games currently on sale, or at least no games that are on sale for less than $5 - during a sale a game is NOT worth its regular price in a customers mind, and so it feels like a loss to get something for the same price you could have just bought it during the sale.

3) Offer surprise bag bundles at a discount. 5 Piñatas for $12 or something like that. This way even getting 5 unwanted games at $3-$4 still feels like a "win".

If you are using the product then yeah, you aren't going to be eligable. Her Story is great and I would really recommend it.

GOG did give me a full refund on the 3 games (out of 4) that didn't work for me from the pinata sale - good on you GOG.

This may not help you, but in the UK, we have a law that states that we can return a product for a full refund (or get an item of equivalent value) as long as the product hasn't been opened / used.

I think GOG should do the honourable thing here - for those people who haven't downloaded their "won" game, they should give customers the opportunity to either refund or replace the said game.

Even Steam sales don't do crap like these anymore, why can't gog's?

Just as a information:
I got the reply from the support, that I will get a refund for all games I got and already owned.
