Pangaea666: Even made a thread about this game back when, intending to collect info on it and such, as I was hopeful it could turn into something good. Water under the bridge now.

I've pulled out.

GR00T: Well I, for one, do understand your trepidation. It's a brand new company with no real track record. I'm choosing to look at the things you're concerned about as just inexperience in this sort of money-raising venture. I backed the game and will keep my pledge in the campaign, though. I backed enough to get the actual game, so we'll see what comes of it. This game was given a shout out by one of the other devs I've backed (can't recall which one offhand, but it was one I have faith in), so I'm comfortable enough to let my pledge ride.
They even have support from David Lockwood from Obsidian, who will even help out too with programming and Brian Fargo pledged too. :)

I backed enough to get the game too, although it was 'only' the €16 tier. At the end of the campaign there are too many things that don't add up for me, however, so I decided to pull out. Hopefully the game is released and is a smashing hit so I can buy it then, even if it's for twice the price or whatever.

At this moment in time, though, we aren't buying a game but are sort-of investors or gamblers, and when I don't feel comfortable with what they have shown, the decision was easier to make. I've backed some other small developers and it hasn't always turned out great, but in those cases I didn't doubt their intentions and honesty, while here I'm much less sure. Hopefully just down to inexperience as you say, and I'd love to be proven wrong.
This game is a sure flop, like PoE. The title alone contains multiple red flags such as the redundant and immature dark tone and the mention of a courier implying fetch quests.

Financially it was far from a flop, and just because you didn't like it personally, doesn't make it a flop.

I am far from the only one. Most cRPG fans see it as a disgrace to the genre. The game objectively had bad writing.

It still has mostly very positive reviews on steam and gog, so i don't know whom you talking about, maybe you confuse a small vocal minority with being "no one liked it".

I mean i also saw some people who didn't like it, but still very few.

You should check around the codex. I remember when people used to say that PoE was going to revive a genre and we could hope to see other actually good cRPGs ride of PoE's 'success' wave. What have we gotten since? Nothing, not one good cRPG. Now we are getting another amateurish work with a phony name that is going to once again disappoint.
